Re: Protagonist Mingle || Mysidia
It was very rare to see Ruby without her corgi Zwei and just as rare to see her not riding either her velociraptor... RWBYsaurus (she was always insistent on that name) Monty or the strange Iron Giant she tamed and named "Penny". Of course, there are rumors of why she named the mechanical machine that...
Re: Protagonist Mingle || Mysidia
...You've gotten stronger, Ruby.
[Coming up alongside her friend, Pyrrha places a comforting hand on her shoulder.]
Yang would be so proud if she could see you now.
Re: Protagonist Mingle || Mysidia
[Oh, she was certain of that bit.]
But, that's not saying you're not better, either, Pyrrha! You've gotten really good over the years!
Re: Protagonist Mingle || Mysidia
[Just like Pyrrha to deflect a compliment like that. She smiles at Ruby, nodding confidently.]
It's time to put our skills to the test. Even in another world, we're still huntresses.

Re: Protagonist Mingle || Mysidia
Zack approached Ruby with a smile, waving with one hand. They hadn't spoken too much, but Zack was a constant. He still wore his belt 24/7 though, in case of emergency but it was something familiar.
no subject
Yes, they hadn't talked to each other too much, but at the very least, it helped that she still made sure others were doing quite well.
no subject
He shrugged a little. Ruby had changed quite a bit over the years, and Zack almost remained the same. His hair was a bit longer now, but he was often seen dressed in that red and black outfit of his.
no subject
If anything, the only thing that changed on Ruby was her hair, a little longer and a little more scruffier. She always kept to her goth-like red and black attire, even though her trademark cloak was getting a little ragged at the moment.

Pre-Scene #01 || Thoughts on the Negotiations [open]
[ Shortly after it was agreed upon who of them would be selected as the representatives, the more formal part of the meeting: the decision to take this chance, was closed. Now it was up to Minato to ask around for the others' opinions on the notion. As one of their two mouthpieces, he had to know where their feelings and apprehensions lay, and also figure what was best for them as a course of action. While he was never very skilled at arguing per se, he was also grateful that they didn't try to nominate anyone who was infamously hot-tempered. At the least, Minato hoped he could deflect tensions from rising high.
Remaining where he was at their meeting table, he waved his hand to once again, get the attention of those who remained who were chattering between one another. ]
I'm sorry to keep you from your business--I'll form my arguments on my own time later on, but what else do you think we should say to them? And what precautions should we take?
[ The boy continued, ]
We know well enough what they want from us, we'll need to express clearly what it is we want from them, too.
[ ooc: For this, I'd prefer a long thread discussion-style with the remaining Heroes in the room! So threadjack whenever you'd like. ]
Thoughts on the Negotiations
She nods her head stepping towards Minato's side to speak with him. Vincent's red cap rested over her shoulders keeping her thin frame hidden from view.]
It will be difficult. [Yuffie is still honest.]
You should probably approach it logically. [She already knows that MarKus won't be swayed by emotions... and it hurt when she realized his goals weren't like her own.]
no subject
You will have to go in with no weapons. But that does not mean you cannot have spells of protection cast on your persons. Before you go, I want you to have every positive status our white mages and bards can give you.
[It hurt, to voice that he had doubts about MarKus's trustworthiness, but Ramza could not allow an ally to go into a dangerous situation without taking precautions just because Ramza had once been friends with their enemy.]
no subject
[ Minato's being accustomed to the support role or generally fighting on the backline would do him no favors here, if it turned violent. But he also felt that if they didn't think too much about the versatility that came with his Custom Job, they would underestimate his abilities with his Personas, and that could work out for them in a positive way. ]
I'll organize an escape line as well, with some of the undercover allies we have there.
[ He nods to himself, then looked at Yuffie and Ramza one after the other. ]
Even provided all this time... do you think you can guess what arguments he may try to make?
no subject
I don't know about Nanami. MarKus believes that the extreme is the only way to combat the calamity.
[A knot twists in Yuffie's stomach as she continued.]
If it looks like things might go poorly please escape.
[She doesn't want anyone else to die, more so someone as nice at Minato.]

That was a thought that made her pause, looking down at the ring on her finger. She didn't dare let her Soul Gem take shape in her hand to examine it... lest anyone around see how dangerously dark its colour had shifted. It wasn't on purpose there just... hadn't been time to cleanse it, that was all. Wondering if she would have a chance to take care of it before the confrontation, she mitigated her own worries by convincing herself that she would just have to take it easy on the magic.
Turning, she donned a smile seeing someone approach. "So, ready for the big showdown?"

Tucking it to the crook of her mouth like a straw of wheat she crunches the empty box, moving at first as though to toss it for a perfect three pointer in a nearby trashcan...and instead redirecting it. Aiming for the middle of Sayaka's forehead as the girl practices her olympian stretches.
"Showdown?" The readhead's expression shifts to amusement, "You look like an idiot, what the hell are you doing?"
no subject
"I'm getting ready! Which is what you should be doing too, you know." Instead of stuffing her face, for once. Hands on her hips, Sayaka shook her head, thinking that some things never changed... and maybe a little bit glad for it.
"Those guys in Aqures Ixen are on the move. Or haven't you been paying attention to any of the intelligence reports?" Again...
no subject
"Eh?" A foot, raises to rest precariously against a raised branch - conveniently near Sayaka's face where the over zealous caped magical girl is preparing. "No kidding."
Paying attention, hardly a need when you had such a nag for a best friend. The girl's arms, which before had risen with a lazy grin behind her head had fallen away with a bit of a frown at the news.
"You know...it's not in your contract to have to fight people, only witches."
no subject
"There's supposed to be some kind of gate just south of here. The Lunar Gate, I think they were calling it. They were looking for people to go and check it out, so I know you'd have no problem volunteering for that and told them so." Sayaka grinned at that, standing up straight again and looking satisfied.
"Everyone was happy to hear it of course, they all know how you love to help and not just laze around all day."

Tsubomi looked quite weary. Everything fell apart after the Sage told them everything. While she still fought to uphold her own Pretty Cure ideals and the ideals of heroics, everything else just seemed to weight down on her and it showed. Fairy Tail had pretty much fell apart after Levy quit and gave Tsubomi control, with others following suit. Her attempts to stop the fighting and bring about a more peaceful resolution wouldn't hold at all.
"I... just want this to end."
no subject
"Hey, try not to look at it that way, Tsubomi," she tried to sound gentle, encouraging. "If those guys over in Aqures Ixen are finally ready to do something instead of just sitting around that castle... maybe that means they're willing to hear us out again." She didn't sound so convinced of it herself, but keeping a stiff upper lip was important.
Taking a step forward, she placed a hand on the other girl's shoulder and offered a smile.
no subject
"You're right. I'm sorry. It's... it's hard, but... maybe things'll get better with this."

Re: Protagonist Mingle || Mysidia
Right now, though, she was working, shaping a stone, in deep concentration. A number like it were in a pile.
Open
Most of her hours she spent going through drills with those who meant to take up arms, or hunting monsters for food. There were a lot of mouths to feed, and it never really seemed like there was enough to go around. It was difficult to harvest crops when crystal covered the fields and earth. Even if the crystal covering the entirety of the planet turned out not to be lethal to the living, everyone would surely starve to death shortly after that.
Given her past and what she'd done under Baba Yaga's curse, Elsa wasn't exactly one of the most popular heroes, which was fair. She didn't expect everyone to drop their grudges and immediately forgive her for The Brigand Leader's crimes. But she was still an asset, and as long as they didn't forcibly turn her away, she was determined to fight to the bitter end.
Tonight she took her post on the watchtower, wearing thick furs and hides to keep her warm against the cold, her bow grasped in a gloved hand. She wore her blonde hair long now, and when she shifted, the clink of armor could easily be heard. Elsa was a warrior at heart, and if it didn't give her the worst aches and stiffness upon awakening, she would have slept in her armor if she could.
She chewed on a dried strip of behemoth jerky as her dark blue eyes scanned the skies and the glittering stretches of land for signs of unwarranted activity. There were not only the jaded Heroes to watch out for, but the powerful monsters of the Lost Continent as well. Their territory had been shrinking, forcing their numbers to bloat, and making it impossible to travel the countryside alone without running into at least a dozen monsters a day.
But venture out she would. It was clear that they needed help, and there were those who hadn't chosen a side who still might be persuaded. She needed to go to Aerilon and see who she could find to join their cause.
