What: With the mysterious illness going around infecting Heroes of Light, Jade is making use of his Alchemist Job to hopefully come up with a cure. Perhaps some victims of the sickness would be willing to provide him with blood samples? Or maybe someone wants to help him find ingredients? Or just bother him for no particular reason?
Where: Palitutu's lab
When: May 12th-25th
Warnings: Being poked with needles is a definite possibility (albeit one that can be opted out of).

[It's been a while since the last time Jade had to actively practice medicine. Still, he is technically a doctor. The fact his specialty lies in taking people apart rather than helping them live is besides the point.

Fortunately, his competence isn't really in question. His bedside manners, on the other hand...]

[Akane comes to the lab occasionally as well. She submitted her application to work here a week ago. It's been busy here, so she knows why they haven't replied just yet. They also don't seem to mind that she's here working on her file so long as she stays quiet and out of the way.]

[There's a lot about her file she needs to access, but she can see it'll take some time to clean out whatever corrupted that window of time between the second nonary game and the one that took place far in the future.]

[Finally she puts down the tablet on her lap and massages at her temples with a little sigh. She isn't making much progress, and she could use a break. That's when she spots Jade.]

[He seems to be working on something solo, but he moves with a quiet sort of intensity. Is he a chemist? Rising to her feet, Akane sets her tablet aside and moves to approach.]

You look like you could use an assistant. Can I lend you a hand?

[Jade looks up at the young lady. He's seen her once or twice in passing, but has always been too busy with other things to stop and chat with every person who comes by. Since she's offering, though...]

Perhaps. Any experience in medicine?

[Even if not, he'll think of something else for her to do. The more hands to split the workload between, the better.]

Yes.

[No need to delve deeply into her background with Cradle Pharmaceuticals, but she definitely learned something from the corrupt organization in all of her time spent studying how to take it down.]

Chemistry, engineering, and computer technology too.

[Akane isn't going to be pushy about it; her hands are still clasped in front of her, patiently waiting for his acceptance of her offer before charging into the lab. It's not easy; the sooner she can help her brother, the better, but if he thinks she'd just slow down his work, she'll leave.]

[That's better than he was expecting. He can get plenty of people to get ingredients or offer themselves as guinea pigs. Finding someone to assist him on the technical side of things is a lot harder.]

Perfect. Normally I'd like to test your knowledge a bit more, but we're rather pressed for time. You'll just have to show me what you can do as we go.

[Jade's going to be demanding, but she'll do fine if she has any skill.]

[She bows politely, but remains determined to her duties, and it's obvious in the serious set of her face.]
