Zelda didn’t know if Kyoko would consider the ending a happy one. She continued feeling the wind tug at her hair as the air began chilly.

“The sword of light allowed him to cut through the darkness and with the goddesses help they were able to seal the darkness away. It couldn’t be defeated for as long as there is light, there is darkness to match it. Hylia knew that the darkness would return in a time when people only knew it by its legend.” Her smile fell slightly as she continued. “Over time hearts grow weak and weary. In order to protect those she loved Hylia used her powers to be reincarnated among her people. She would awake to find the new hero, should the darkness return.”

Zelda’s expression softened as her smile pulled back across her lips. “Even now we tell the tales of the goddess, for everything she’s given us we will never forget her.”
