We're fighting Tonberries? And a Tonberry King??? OH GOOD.

WHEN: June 6th, 2016 - Noon
WHERE: Aqures Ixen

Biggs seemed like a nice person. She'd done her absolute best to keep a cheerful facade in place as he described to her the parameters of her quest, and that had been a real struggle. She'd turned pale halfway through, and two hours later, her hands were still shaking at the very thought of not only facing twenty knife-wielding Tonberries, but actually killing them too.

As someone who had been stabbed to death in one branch of reality, it wasn't the sort of situation Akane wanted to experience ever again. She really didn't want to do this.

But what she wanted seldom mattered when it came to saving the world. This was no different in the end.

She went home to splash some cold water on her face, grasping the sink with both hands as she waited for her heart to stop thundering in her chest. Long curls of her brown hair drifted over her shoulders as she bowed her head and closed her eyes. It wasn't as if she were taking the quest alone. The others were surely experienced fighters, they could do this.

Then her stomach growled.

Unable to help herself, she started to giggle breathlessly. The needs of the body were so demanding, no matter how worried or scared she was. Very well. She'd go to the store and pick up something to eat. Later she could talk to Hisui. He'd offered to train her a little in matters of combat and self defense, she meant to take him up on that. She dabbed her face dry with a hand towel, then went to retrieve her backpack and set out.

With a basket on her elbow, she was starting to feel a little more normal, but the puzzle of her quest still sat heavily in her head. She must have fumbled every single grocery item she picked up, dropping boxes of cereal and loaves of bread everywhere she went. She started to reach for a carton of eggs, but given her track record so far...she went for the package of premade sushi instead, and as expected, her cold and shaking fingertips dropped that too. With a sheepish smile, she stooped to retrieve it and place it in her basket. Now for the produce section...
