Days Go By
Characters: Selen & Gaara
Where: Selen's House?
When: Sometime in September
Summary: After sending Luke a letter about Gaara's well being and other random notes, Selen decided to ask Gaara to come by her place to spend some quality time catching up with a full course dinner and a lot of fluff in between~ Though, huge thanks to Luke for giving her heads up on what Gaara likes, because Selen totally didn't attempt to make them all at some point.
After spending a good amount of time gathering information from one red head to another, Selen was at home, making some things for Gaara. She honestly, didn't know why they didn't engage for a good portion of her time here, minus the time they met once. However, it was set aside for building better relationships on Selen's book. She didn't seem to dwell on the small details of things as she hummed to herself. It had been a rough month to be honest. There were many things she still questioned about this world on, but she simply didn't let it stress her out. Rather, she found other leisure to keep her mind off the topics.
Honestly, she didn't know how long it would take for her to finish, but she hoped that the other would show up at some point. The goal of this was to talk to him and probably earn more points with trust and friendship. Selen was that kind of simple human being who valued her relationships in odd ways. After all, compared to a lot of people in this world, she was probably a lot older than most of them. That also meant she was dealing with kids that could be her grand kids or child in general.
After putting some pepper on the fried and salted meat, she lowers the fire and pulls her hair back. Selen had discarded her armor for the day, and wore a simple casual outfit that made things much more manageable. She started to grab the plates from the cupboard while still humming to herself quietly. Of course, she didn't know who lived here since the house mates she had recently kept disappearing without much words or anything. She found them all in the Crystal, so Selen assumed she lived alone if anything.

sorry for the late tag >:
Gaara had secondary reasons for isolating himself at home and the workplace. After Naruto and Shun had been turned into crystals, he just… wanted to stop enduring the pain of loss. The morbid part of his mind believed that Luke would be next, to make his heart cease caring, completely. He still missed his siblings and friends from the facility, even after a year of being away. And maybe it was because of that, he felt drawn toward Selen. She had yet to be turned into a crystal… and even though it wasn’t fair to her, Gaara was testing this world, in a sense.
He arrived at her home on their decided evening, with his Moogle excitedly flying behind him. Initially, Gaara had wanted her to stay behind and keep Ion company, but she insisted on coming along to meet his new friend. She also liked to befriend the other Moogles, and thought her hero needed to get out more, from her constant remarks. In his hands, he carried a small bouquet of carnations, differently colored based on the recommendation of the florist. Raising a loosely-clenched fist, he knocked on her front door and waited for a response.
It's fine bb :D
She'll wait until he wants to speak about the stuff in his hands. She didn't mind if he came empty handed since she was the one that invited him to come over and eat dinner with her. It was a little lonely from time to time, but eventually, she got used to seeing her housemates move back and forth. She didn't really get too close to most of them to have lasting relationships, however. She was always working and such and during her free time, she ventured the city.
"Good evening, Gaara," she mused finally, a bright smile plastered on her lips as she greeted the boy.
i appreciate your patience <3
“......”
Gaara suppressed the urge to sigh in exasperation, and then humbly offered the bouquet to Selen. “Hello, Selen. This is… for you. To my knowledge, it is considered rude to impose on someone’s home, without bringing some type of offering.” He wasn’t sure if that was completely accurate, but he could refer to a different book for additional information. Selen didn’t seem like the type to ask for anything that wasn’t needed, anyway.
From her appearance, it looked like she might still be cooking. He wondered if he could be of any help to her. Luke always insisted on cooking whenever they were back home, so his skills in the kitchen had diminished, since his time in the facility. After a brief moment of hesitation, Gaara asked, “Do you need any assistance?”
of course. I am slow too because what are tags?XD
However, after Karura had that though, Galahad was floating by next to Selen in his evening clothes, "Good Evening, Gaara, Karura."
"I suppose he heard you musing about him, Karura."
Selen softly chuckled.
He replied with a polite bow in greeting to both of them. Selen wondered why he was a bit bothered but he offered her a bouquet in stead and it spelled lovely. She took the present with warm arms and her face beamed at the pleasant flowers that were given to her. She liked plants and she had some around her home as well.
"Thank you Gaara, you shouldn't have but if that is the custom, I will not be rude and accept this wonderful bouquet of flowers. Hmmm, I wonder if there is a vase for them," she mused mostly to herself as she peeked around the house for one. Selen really wasn't but she would gladly accept out of other's kindness for them.
"It's quite alright. I was finishing up. Why don't you and your moogle come in and get settled. You can help yourself to the fridge. There are plenty of drinks. I'll get the table setting so we can chat."
