Eat Sleep or Fight
Characters: Kyoko & OPEN
Where: The Observatory/City Outskirts
When: Whenever!
Summary: Kyoko hanging around, either stuffing her face or fighting, her two favorite things
Warnings: Gluttonous magical girl, possible language, Kyoko can be a huge jerk
OBSERVATORY
With hands nestled casually into sweater pockets and a pocky stick snug between her teeth, Kyoko bent her knees, the treat tipping around as she calculated her landing just before launching into the sky. Feet hit hard, snapping some ceiling tiles that slither down towards the ground below.
“Ah, crap!” Her glance does not follow the damaged property, rather a hand shoots up as if to catch the snack. The redhead had almost – almost, dropped it in the jump. While the wind whips angrily at her ponytail, Kyoko leaps a couple buildings until she stands atop the observatory, mindlessly wasting precious magic in the process. Climbing to its highest point, she peers down into the oversized lens.
One of the disadvantages of this place was its lack of skyscrapers, the magical girl had always preferred perching up high. With this world’s lack of them – a telescope would just have to do. Plopping down atop the sensitive instrument, her legs dangle askew. Munching joins the sound of the wind as the redhead looks out over the city.
CITY OUTSKIRTS
“Eat this!” Running a jagged pattern, her lance moves in a blur of twirls and slashes. Four geezards fall in the wake of the magical girl. Slamming the butt of the weapon to the ground, Kyoko glances back with a fanged grin. If this was all there was to gathering magic in this world – there would be nothing to it.
A piercing, inhuman scream has the lancer shooting her free hand to an ear, but does nothing to block out the wailing of the mandragora that snuck up. “Uh...Goddamn house plant.” Curling painfully forwards as if the soundwaves were solid punches to the gut, there’s a moment where her footing grows unsteady. In the next, the head of her spear is ripping into the foliage of the creature. That shut it up, but not before three of its friends had joined the party, along with a couple of buers flapping overhead.

OBSERVATORY
Her cheeks are flushed pink, a soft smile pulling at her lips.
"I wasn't expecting to see anyone up here." She smiled, her fingers moving over the bird as it perched on the edge of the observatory roof. "Are you alright?" She assumed so but it never hurt to ask; usually.

Cocking her head to the side and peering at the new arrival, a new chocolate snack replaces the old one. Nor had she - unfortunately, that was not the case. There's a prolonged silence before she answers, just the sound of munching - as if the redhead doesn't intend to bother acknowledging Zelda's presence at all. "Feh! I'm fine." No thanks to that devil bird.
"You always so nosy?"

Zelda admitted with a smile. She couldn't really help it, she had begun to care about all of the heroes, even those she didn't speak too. They all had homes they wanted to protect, lives that were precious and she couldn't help but care and worry about all of them.
"If you're alright I can leave you be." She makes the offer like a suggestion allowing the other girl to push her away if she truly desires to be alone.

The munching never ceases. Legs swaying in the wind, the redhead rests backwards on her elbows, leaning into a truant pose. The repeat question gets blatantly ignored. She's already answered it. Though the loftwing gets a strange look.
"What is with this planet and everyone's goddamn obsession with birds? In mine, they're dinner. Most things are. Bet that's most worlds, even."
There's a grin that reveals pronounced fangs -- at least, for a human. "That's just the food chain."

Her fingers lightly stroked her Loftwings neck, her expression softening into a fond smile. The large bird flapped its wings once and then landed on a section of the roof so that his rider and the strange red haired girl could speak.
“My home is called Skyloft. It’s an island that floats in the sky, we wouldn’t be able to get anywhere without our feathered friends here.” Her smile widened. “They were a gift from the goddess. As for this world’s birds, I do not know.” However Zelda had a soft spot for Chocobo’s as well.

"Pretty useless way to set up a world, floating around so you can't even rely on your own two feet."

She wasn’t about to begin a long winded story about the goddess and the hero without knowing that Kyoko might want to hear it. She didn’t wish to bore the young girl.

There's enough annoyance in her voice to give off the impression such things were of not interest to her. Yet the non - committal response was not exactly a "no", in the hopes Zelda might still decide to tell it. Fighting with Sayaka again was starting to reminder Kyoko of the tales that made her take on being a magical girl.

“Darkness covered the land and in order to fight it and keep her people safe the goddess Hylia raised them to the sky. She created a barrier among the clouds and gifted those who lived in this new word Loftwings so that they’d be free to expand their home among the clouds.” Her smiled remained in place, her voice kind and motherly.
“When fighting the darkness a hero appeared. He wasn’t a hero in title like here but a man who knew how to fight and refused to let the darkness take hold of him. Hylia saw his courage and granted him a sword of light to help fight the darkness.” Zelda had every detail of the story memorized now, even the parts she hadn’t know before.

Ponytail swaying as the girl's head canted a bit towards the Hylian to better listen, even while red eyes continued to look away and disinterested. She no longer believed in stories, they were what made her hope and led to her wish which led to losing everything. Hoping only led to loss.
She shifted, uncomfortable, remembering for a painful moment.
Glancing up at the stars, her sweatshirt rippled in the evening wind as she looked over to Zelda. She figured it couldn't be true, because Zelda smiled a lot, so Kyoko expected a happy ending. But...it was nice.

“The sword of light allowed him to cut through the darkness and with the goddesses help they were able to seal the darkness away. It couldn’t be defeated for as long as there is light, there is darkness to match it. Hylia knew that the darkness would return in a time when people only knew it by its legend.” Her smile fell slightly as she continued. “Over time hearts grow weak and weary. In order to protect those she loved Hylia used her powers to be reincarnated among her people. She would awake to find the new hero, should the darkness return.”
Zelda’s expression softened as her smile pulled back across her lips. “Even now we tell the tales of the goddess, for everything she’s given us we will never forget her.”
City Outskirts
A targeted Status-shot at one Mandragora, the crack of gunfire a sharp contrast to the high-pitched scream. Hoping to silence at least one plant, as he purposefully got closer to another and lashed out with the clawed tips of his fingers, left-forearm and hand encased in the tarnished gold gauntlet. The mandragora were the most immediate threat, but the buer would have to be dealt with soon.

Skirts ripple as she dodges a confuse spell a buer casts her way. When the hero's claws rip into the beasts and not her, the weapon elongates with a stigmata attack, skewering through the eyeball of the offending flier. Snapping back into its normal size, she slaps off the corpse in the direction of the cumbersome plants with an angry gesture. Carelessly overpowering her use of strength in her annoyance and eating up a lot of the magic she just spent time earning, the body flung in a blur and hit with such a rocket force as to stun the creatures into momentary silence.
"Oy! What's the big idea! Find your own familiars to fight!"

"Simply wanted to offer a hand." Pitching his voice to be heard, albeit if she didn't want any aid... Never mind he was still lazily tracking the remaining Buer with his gun, just in case.

Vincent's comment earns him a fiery look, before crucify strikes to take down the stunned plants. That look wants to burn him alive, his intended help had just 'cost' her hours of work. Of course -- it was really her own temper. "Yeah? So why don't you go build a village somewhere, or I'll pound you myself."
city outskirts!
"These small fry are enough to cause trouble for you, huh?" A fully-levelled Crystal Knight by now, the blue-haired girl had embraced her powers whole-heartedly since the events of the last few months. "Guess you're slipping in your old age. Or maybe this world's just made you softer than you realize?" she was joking, with a light tone, shifting her sword back into position.
Re: city outskirts!
With that Kyoko is taring into the buers. Spear thrusting in a crucify attack that one evades repeatedly until a fatal moment before leaping into the sky in a silhouette of red to slash after the remaining one. Leaving Sayaka to slaughter the loud annoying fiends the redhead likened her to, whose chorus begins again in an ironic, ear bleeding chime.

She could almost have sworn her rival was looking... dare she say, happy?
"Come on," she's not even close to being done for the day, "There's more on the horizon. Or maybe you can't keep up?" there's a grin flashed her way, as Sayaka sprints forward.

No doubt she's slowed without reaching the ability to use the modular compartments yet, but Kyoko hasn't broken a sweat yet. "Oy, You shouldn't talk to your senpai that way,"
What's the use of gathering magic if you're not gonna use it, with a burst of magical energy she catches up to the girl in blue. Long enough to look over, pull out the sucker- offer a hellion's grin of her own and take off into the distance with super speed to get a head start.
Worth it.
A dark, long shadow passes overhead as if of a dark cloud -- only, it moves too fast, and with a purpose.
Ponytail and skirts whip forwards as Kyoko slams to a stop when a wyvern plummets down from the sky to land in front of her path.
