LAST ROUNDS.
Today, she'd brought flowers. As the months and years had gone by, the crystallization wing of the hospital felt more and more like a memorial. It was carnations that she laid at the feet of both Vaan and Tidus, stepping back and sliently speaking to one and then the other, feeling as though this time she really was saying goodbye.
But instead, the words she sounded were, "I miss you..."
A SUMMONER'S CALAMITY.
It was time. She had put this off for too long, fearing what the shadow of herself might reveal, the things it might say to those that she cared about... which is why she told no one about the encounter. She had wanted to do this alone, wanted to keep those few terrible secrets to herself so that no one would look at her differently if they knew...
When the calamity Yuna appeared as she stepped inside the room, it took a few moments of silence before the other finally opened her eyes, and although they were both purple, the one on the right seemed to have a distinct red hue to it.
The summoner's grip on her father's staff tightened, as her mirror did the same with a rod she had never seen before... the legendary Nirvana.

At first, it had been a little awkward. What was she to say? Was she talking too much? Too little? What should she do with her hands? But as the meal went on it became increasingly obvious that... this was just Chrom, a friend, a confidante... and always someone she had felt she could be herself with. As the time passed between them, along with the delicious food, Yuna had relaxed significantly, even braving to crack a small joke here and there about the going-ons in Crystallis.
It felt... really good, actually.
"Um," she started after a brief silence, "I wanted to thank you. This is... the first time in awhile I've been able to relax. It's... nice." And there was a genuine smile to go with the statement, as a moogle server came to collect some of the dishes.
Last Rounds
"Hey, are you okay?"
no subject
"Were you here to see someone?" Yuna had also become well-adept in changing the spotlight off of anywhere but her. "I'm sorry, I should have been at at the desk to greet you... how may I help you?"
no subject
"Uh, no, I was just leaving when I saw you..." He can't just leave her like this, though, so he smiles at her and holds out his hand. "You look like you could use a friend. I'm Jaune."
no subject
"Yuna," she replied in kind. "I was just... visiting some old friends," and with that, there's a glance back at the two boys she'd been standing near. You couldn't tell from their crystallized state, but Jaune would have fit right in amongst the two blonds.
no thanks he's already been one
"I never met them. Who are they?" He intentionally uses the present tense. Just because they've been crystallized doesn't mean they're gone for good - case and point.
practice makes perfect, though!
He— was always very determined to help others. Even if they were supposed to be the enemy," the thought of it made her smile sadly again, as she looked down. The next was...
"And this is... one of my guardians. The Star Player of the Zanarkand Abes."
oh nooooo don't send him back to crystallisis
He looked at Yuna after she mentions the second. He doesn't know anything about the second half of that description except that he's likely a sports guy, but the first part catches his interest.
"Guardian?" he asked, head tilted. "Are you like a princess or something?"
