Doppleganger Aftermath - Wanting to help now more than ever
Characters: Bloom and Open
Where/When: Aqures Ixen, 18th April - 24th April
Summary: After the dream and having gone to the address and seeing the truth with her own eyes. She thinks things over what to do next and if she can truly accept it all.
Warnings: No warnings really.
A-04 - 18th
Bloom poked her food quietly with a fork, not sure if she wanted to eat it or not. As she paused mid-poke she was unsure of everything right now. Unsure of what will happen if they choose to fight this upcoming calamity, especially after seeing that dream. It looked like it didn't work out for them, so would it really work out for them this time. Plus the fact was she had been here before, all those years ago... It just didn't make sense in her mind. Poking her fork once more into the meat she left it there.
She couldn't eat it right now, she just wanted to get the thoughts out of her mind, the picture of her sister, living here for years, not knowing who she was and living a new life. That had stung a little bit really. It had hurt a lot, but she wasn't going to let it get to her. It just gave her more of a goal, a reason to keep fighting here. With a small smile she went back into the kitchen, thinking that maybe she could let Luffy eat her meal when he got here.
Out and about - 18th - 24th
Each day Bloom came out, each day she would wonder and each day she felt better more and more. She felt like she would at least try and start a friendship at least with her sister here and she seemed to be okay with that. That made her happy more than anything. Every so often she would stop and look around at where she was and when she did, she was thinking over what she wanted to do? Did she want to do something, did she want to go home and speak to her moogle, or would she be okay with just walking around some more.
With all these thoughts in her mind, she was unsure. With a small and a firm nod, she was going to do soemthing, she was going to head to the wharf and check to see if she could afford a boat yet. Now more than ever she wanted to do something now, rather than sit around and wait. Now was the time to explore.

Her thoughts were heavy as her sight landed on Bloom. How many had had the dream?
"Bloom?" Her tone was soft walking up to the girl with a pleasant smile. "How are you doing? Are you alright?"
no subject
"Hey... I'm doing fine or as fine as things could considering. If what the dream showed... I worry it might happen again and then what." With each word she spoke, her smile slowly faded. She didn't want what happened there to happen here. She didn't want to think what could happen should it. Would they end up like the others? With no memories and a new life?
no subject
"And then we will succeed." Her confidence almost surprised her. "We know more now then they had then. So we should be able to do more."
She wanted to have faith and if others didn't then Zelda would be there to give it to them.
no subject
"Maybe the whole reason for the dream was so that we would know that and understand, give us something that the others didn't. Maybe it was to give us the way to stop this like they didn't. But I still don't understand... The world seemed fine when we arrived, so what happened between then and now?"
no subject
Zelda's voice grew quiet and her eyes shifted to the distance. "I was told that Kalki said we were the calamity. That we were a piece of it. All of this started with us arriving. Maybe we first need to figure out what brought us here and find our answers there."
There was no way to know for sure but Zelda felt as if it would be the best course of action. If only they had more time.
no subject
She wondered if they would even get anywhere with trying to find that out really. "Though that makes it sound like someone brought us here just so we would set it off. If that turns out to be the case then... why?"
no subject
"But it gives us something to search for. A goal."
It wasn't much but it was something to drive them forward.
no subject
Talking always did help out after all. "Though how we focus it is another matter altogether."
no subject
She didn't like knowing so little and truthfully, she wasn't used to it. It bothered her more than she cared to admit.
Her eyes glanced over to Bloom. "Should I think of something. I will let you know."
no subject
"Okay... And well... I will think about what I should do next. After that dream and well... what happened and what we have seen. It gives me a much better reason to keep fighting. A reason to stay here even if it's just for now." She laughed a little at the end of her speech, it seemed silly but she knew it felt right for her to do.
"It seems odd to say really, but that's how I feel. I help people, I don't leave them to themselves. These people need that."
no subject
Zelda smiled meeting Blooms gaze. They were of the same mind when it came to these things which was good. They didn't have to work alone either because all of the heroes are there for them.
"We should all do what we can." Talking helped, Zelda felt more confident and almost a little giddy to try and discover more. She wanted to remain confident always greeting people with a smile.
no subject
"So how are you anyway? I know you've been doing a lot, so I'm a little curious."
no subject
It's been a long process but she was slowly putting things together. "I have a lot of help so I don't think it should take to much longer. I'm thinking about have regular get together's so the heroes can continue to feel close to each other."
Even though Zelda knew that some of the heroes didn't like parties like that.
no subject
Well she was glad there was someone trying to keep people close, especially with the huge numbers that are around right now. "If you ever want help sorting something like that out, I'll be happy to help."
no subject
"What sort of theme's were you thinking?"
She didn't know of any herself besides maybe the harvest or spring but those both had to do with the seasons. There weren't to many holidays in her world like there seemed to be here. She thought for a moment realizing that if spring was coming then so was her birthday. She'd be turning 20 this year.
no subject
She could spend all day thinking it over, it would get her mind off of things and make her feel like she was doing something. She smiled slightly as she thought of various things. She was starting to feel better.
"But for casual, I guess... Something simple like..." She paused for a moment, she wanted a theme that no one would usually think of.
"Country... That is a common theme back home. But not one I think we could do here."
no subject
Zelda didn't know what she meant by that. Her tone was light but it's obvious from her stare that she was more than just a little confused.
"What would that require?"
no subject
"Country is a type of music... It's hard to put into words, but well the theme is like cowboys and cowgirls. Does that make sense?"
no subject
"I guess so. Can you describe the music?"
no subject
no subject
"Maybe we can think of summer themes too since it will so be warm."
no subject
Never the less it was something to think about at least and she was pondering on it. "I'll get back to you maybe later about those types of themes."
no subject
"I should go for now. Let me know if you think of something." She bowed slightly fanning her skirt before heading back towards the observatory.

He was living in a world without control, a world he felt he could not change, a world where friends and foe alike were being led around by the invisible leash of fate. Luffy was a Pirate without the one constant that had been with him for most of his life: the curse which kept him from ever being able to swim. Doubt had been creeping into even his thoughts, the wondering and worrying over whether or not his lack of power might be the cause of the harm which came to Yuffie, and the reason for why their escape had been delayed for so long.
When he finally decided to come back home, his entrance into the house is a gentle one. Not the sort of usual boisterous entrance, but more akin to some one coming home after an exhausting day of work and stress. The door closes behind him with enough volume that Bloom can hear him entering, followed by the sound of his voice calling out.
"Pakku? Bloom? You guys here?"
no subject
"You okay? Want to talk?"
no subject
He gives a slow shake of his head, beyond the need for words. He adjusts his hat, letting it fall back and hang from his shoulders as the cord attached catches around his throat to keep his treasured possession on his person.
"Nothing I haven't said before. Just got out of jail, no thanks to that jerk Sparks."
no subject
"Why exactly were you in jail in the first place?" She asked moving to go find a near by seat, unsure of what exactly happened and why she didn't think to do anything before.
no subject
He pads a few fingers over his still tender cheek, wincing slightly as the pain remains fresh and raw.
"Broke a table, got in Ashe's face about how stupid and cowardly they all are. That jerk Sparks cuffed me and carried me off."
no subject
"Come here I'll sort you out. Just sit down over there." She said gesturing towards the living room while she was kneeling down in a cupboard.
no subject
Soft, squishy footsteps echo across the floor as his companion Pakku comes waddling around the corner, scratching his stomach as if he'd just awoken from a nap. He looks up at Luffy and blinks, giving a slow nod of his head as he lulls in and out of sleep.
"Who.. Who beat you up?"
Luffy's cheeks go red, slightly embarrassed to admit who had caused his current appearance.
"N-No one! Go back to sleep!"
no subject
"I think we might not have enough ointment and bandages in the first aid kit, would you be so kind as to go out and fetch some. I'll pay you for your hard work."
She would send her own moogle out, but she knew that maybe this would be the better option for the moment.
no subject
"Yes, M'am! Right away!"
He spins on his pads, turning towards the door and filing out as if marching along with a platoon.
When the door closes, Luffy turns back to look at Bloom, sitting still and remaining quiet while he's inspected and diagnosed. There isn't much for him to say, given that things had some what sorted themselves out for the time being. He hated the idea of having to find others who could take their place, but if it had to be done, it had to be done.
Sitting in silence, the stubborn pirate just numerates over the possibilities of finding substitutes for both Ramza and Yuffie, much to his dismay.
no subject
"Not going to speak... I guess I can understand. But you'll recover from this." As she bandaged the last part she stepped back, going to the first aid kit to start putting things away.
"But if you need to talk, I'm here." Even though she didn't feel all that great, she thought that maybe helping someone else might help her right now.
no subject
When Bloom finally finishes dressing him, he finally decides to speak.
"There's nothing more to be said. Ashe, Sparks, even Ramza.. It's not worth being angry about any more. I'm just going to do what I can with what I've got, just like I always do. I don't think any of the heroes are brave enough or strong enough to find the Queen, and they aren't gonna' do a damn thing for what they put Yuna, Yuffie, and Rikku through.."
no subject
"...So long as you don't rush into a situation filled with anger because of what happened, than I'll be happy to help in anyway I can. But being angry won't help anyone, that much I understand in all my years of my life as a fairy." She gave a small smile before she went to sit down as Ron the cat came out of her room and made his way toward her, rubbing up against her leg as she went over to stroke him.
"So where do you plan on heading off to first to look?"
no subject
He gives himself a once over, hopping off of the stool as he lets the hat drop down to hang off of his neck.
"Figure I'll go to the closest island first, then go along from there. If she's on the move, we'll catch up eventually. If she's staying still some where, even better. First things first. I need to find out what she looks like."
He turns to look at her, now that he's properly bandaged and ready for more.
"Bloom. I'm going to the castle. Cid-guy said I could find pictures of the Queen there. If ya' don't hear back from me in a week, I'm prolly stuck in jail. If so, take some of the money Pakku has and pay my bail before I try to break out, okay?"
no subject
"I'll make sure to keep that in mind, but shouldn't you rest for just an hour before heading off again? That's all I want."
no subject
It's obvious that the many days and nights of restlessness and exhaustion are finally starting to bring his engines to a halt. Even now his shoulders begin to give, sag and lower, unlike the usual confident way in which he kept them.
He makes his way to the door, dropping his head with a small bow as his way of saying I'm sorry to the friend who had countless times been so selfless with him.
".. I'll see you later."
no subject
So all she could do was let him walk off and kept to herself for the time being. Focus on other things instead because right now that was all she could do.
