The ninja wasn’t entirely sure what to believe. His… animal companion… had identified herself as Karura, and welcomed him back to Crystallis. He didn’t recall being in this world at all. Where was Suna, for that matter? And his siblings? His last memory was seeing his village, still safe from that Akatsuki intruder’s bomb, and then… waking up in a strange room. His powers were sealed – enacted by the enemy, no doubt – and he had been given two crystals to signify his new Job Classes.
After regaining his bearings, he pressed Karura for more information, but she wasn’t entirely forthcoming with additional details. Especially when she realized he didn’t recognize her at all. She knew a great deal, that was easy to tell. Getting her to open up and reveal everything would be another matter completely. Exploration was also a key factor, but before Gaara could leave, a stranger entered his assigned living space. His guard immediately rose, even though he hadn’t learned how to fight with his new abilities yet.
Lips pressing together, he stared at him in silent assessment, while Karura happily announced, “Oh, it’s so nice to see you again, Luke! It’s nice to meet you too, Yulia! We’re gonna have so much fun together, kupo!”
