"Oh." Zelda noticed his blank stare even before he asked her that question. She shook her head with a little bit of a smile pulling at her lips. "It's a little complicated." She didn't know how to explain it delicately so she'll start by introducing herself.

"I'm Zelda. It's nice to meet you."

She'd explain it to him if he wanted but she'd rather him want the information instead of just forcing it on him.

"I didn't mean to surprise you."

Zelda was very keen unless it came to herself. She didn't notice anything awkward that might not account for his new situation.
