Sephiroth knew comparatively little with regards to Ales' crystal harvesting but that would be little surprise considering how busy he had been himself. Not so much in partying but this month had been a hectic shuffle between Esdham and Aqures at least once a week so that he could maintain his responsibilities as Colonel at the same time as making sure the security arrangements around Mograma were still being observed diligently.
It had been no small task which Biggs had allocated to him. But at the same time, it had meant that his return to work hadn't sacrificed his time with a particular Hero that he'd come to care very much about.
He met Ales' smile and spread a light one of his own across his face as the teensie approached him, nodding once he came within polite conversational distance. It seemed that even Ales had picked up something of the spirit of the holiday, if his attire was anything to go by. The small glass of whiskey he was sipping at occasionally remained casually in one hand.
"It's certainly grown exponentially since last year." Casting his mind back, Sephiroth can't fully recall whether or not Ales were present then, at the smaller gathering which had been held at Zelda's home. A slight furrow to his eyebrows at that thought was calmly shrugged away though; there was little point dwelling on such triviality but that bugging thought he were chewing on wouldn't be swallowed so easily.
"You're right, makes you wonder might change even more by next year."
