No wonder it was proving an impossible task to take his eyes from Terra for very long as she danced around in such a flurry of festive color and ribbons; the guilt that he had felt a little earlier in the day, of not thinking to ask her if she needed any new dresses for the party season earlier, was dashed away by how she looked tonight.
Still, true to form Sephiroth made a point to punctuate his observing by sweeping the rest of the hall with his gaze at certain intervals. Sometimes he'd move away from the wall to visit one of the food tables or get a refill for his drink but for the most part would always return to his position. At the very least, there was no chance that she'd lose him that way.
He hadn't seen the brief exchange with Minako, being as he'd looked away from the dancing area at that point but it was the sharp click of Terra's heels on the floor which instantly snapped his attention back in her direction as she approached. Silver bangs flying away from his face and then settling back exactly as they were trained to do so. Her first question stumped him, which didn't help a sense of nervousness that was keen to develop in her pause. Terra knew well enough that attending parties wasn't really Sephiroth's idea of fun, yet he enjoyed her company even if a lot of the time it simply consisted of being in the same room as her. He found, more and more recently that there was very little he felt like he could say 'no' to if it came from her.
"Oh?" Awareness caught up like a shot in the dark, where he'd been admiring the way her eyes picked up on all the festive lights in the room. It was pristine, the way she'd wore her hair tonight and it very much completed the undoubtedly pretty look. Sephiroth tilted his head a little to the side, looking down on her but also trying to get the smallest glimpse around her shoulder where clearly there were something held behind her.
Sephiroth x Terra: tl;dr all the way
