[Zelda feels her arm slowly lower as Link steps closer. Her eyes fix to his as if she’s falling within those perfect watery spheres. She feels her chest as it lightly brushes against his, the pressure of his hand against her back. It is only ever small moments stolen here and there that keep her memories alight and her hope fresh. Every second they spend apart Zelda finds herself worrying and thinking about the boy she had grown up with; her hero.
Perhaps if she had never known, never truly explored the depth to her feels it would have been different. Her mind wouldn’t be plagued with thoughts of him or misty notions of a future they may never have. Maybe it would be better if she doesn’t do anything at all but the moment Link’s lips meet her own she knows she can’t do that. She can’t just forget him or let him go.
