With Rukia's help they were able to find a large enough hall in Christmas Town to throw the party. Zelda had set it for this day since a group of brave heroes were going to set out on the 24th. She had made sure that everything was perfect and of course everyone was invited. There were at least six decorated trees with polished silver and gold ornaments hanging from their branches. Scarlet red ribbons decorated the trees and tables with large bows tying the streaming trails together.

There was one very large tree at the halls center and there were a few presents around the bottom for those who needed a place to put gifts. At it's top was a large pointed star.

Champagne and small finger snacks were set on the tables and a part of the room was cleared for those who wanted to dance. Zelda was even able to hire a few people to play Christmas songs throughout the night. There was a table dedicated to sweets with cookies, cakes, small pies and other wonderful treats spread out for people to try.

Among the decorations was mistletoe. This little plant hung above the doorways waiting for any pair who happens to be caught in their hold. Most of the mistletoe was thanks to Minako but Zelda might have put up one sprig at the entrance to the party; it's all in good fun and kisses on the hand or cheek are perfectly acceptable.

[He sighed slightly. At least she moved away, but he couldn't quite get why him growing was anything major to the other, although when she mentioned he was taller than her, he did recall she seemed happy when he was shorter.]

How long did you think I would be short for? I've been here close to a year and will be eighteen in June. I was bound to have grown during the time I have been here. Though I don't need a nickname, Yugi is fine.

[He looked to the side slightly for a moment. He should really consider getting something to eat.]

I have to ask why is height a major thing for you?

[Yuffie had to really consider that question. She shrugs while her eyes moved down towards her drink. She knows that she should answer but she wasn't sure what the answer is. Instead she begins talking thinking that somehow the answer will come to her if she says it aloud first.]

You were a kid...I mean I just turned nineteen.

[Then it hits her and there is a light brush of pink across her cheeks.]

Because now you're a boy.

[He probably doesn't know what she means which is just fine by her.]

Great... Thanks for saying I'm a kid.

[It was obvious in his tone that he was being a tiny bit sarcastic, but he really did hate being called a kid at the best of times. Although at least boy was a step up, but still not great.]

I'm pretty sure I've always been a boy though.

[Yuffie shoves a plate of sweets and cookies into Yugi's hand with a grin. Yeah, she knows he's not going to understand what she means.]

You'll understand one day.

[If he's caught under mistletoe he might find out today. There is a light smirk on Yuffie's lips as she looks over at Yugi.]

Should I say man then?

[he was rather glad she hadn't put any more force into that shoving of the plate, otherwise he was pretty sure he would have lost his balance. However with the plate in hand and feet firmly on the ground for the meantime he pondered on the words she was saying.]

Understand what?

[Though he was still a tiny bit confused, if only for a moment as the thought he had when it came to being a man might not be the same as what she means.]

Uh well... probably not.

[Yuffie laughs a little before shaking her head.]

You're cute Yugi.

[She takes a long swing of her drink and downs what's left of it before placing the glass down. Her cheeks are tinting slightly red as the alcohol took affect of her system. She might just look around for mistletoe just to tease Yugi further.]

I am not cute.

[He didn't look all that happy about being told that anyway and nearly puffed up his cheeks because of it, but he couldn't help but tilt his head ever so slightly.]

[Yuffie watches him with interest before popping a cookie into her mouth.]

Oh? What's wrong with being cute?

[After all she's cute and she's amazing.]

It's a compliment.

A few things.

[He sighed slightly. Anzu liked him as a friend and for being him and cute, but he knew full well she never saw him as anything else.]

Mostly because for me... being cute doesn't get me seen in a way I would like.

[Yuffie blinks feeling as if she’s really hit a sore subject.]

How would you like to be seen?

[Her dark gaze curiously locks on Yugi watching as he continues.]

I don't know exactly... I guess anything except a child, cute or adorable. That's not what people... it's probably stupid I guess.

[he sighed slightly, he knew no his confidence issues were still here even when he thought they weren't after everything he has been through.]

I think you are cute. Not a child.

[She pauses and then rewinds slightly.]

Let me rephrase the word cute. I think your face is pleasing to look at and your attitude makes me smile. I like you so I call you cute.

Is that really an issue?

I still think of it as the same way though, compared to other people who aren't cute.

[Most people he knew were more mature and not at all cute, it just made him wonder how it worked.]

I...guess to me it's an issue, but something I probably need to work on.

[Yuffie is ready to pull out her hair but refrains. She's dressed up and looking adorable and she isn't letting Yugi ruin her usually chipper mood. She does however sigh.]

Just have confidence because that's hot.

[She has no idea why she's giving him advice about this sort of thing but she is.]

[He had some confidence, he was sure about that. Besides... Maybe if he stopped caring it would help, but he found that near to impossible.]

I have some, like I have confidence to say that I think you look really nice. It's just other types I'm not great at.

[Yuffie smiles, yup... he's on the friend list. So even without asking he's enlisted her help.]

Then let's go through the other types that you aren't great at.

I think we'll wait another time to do that. Here we should be happy and have fun.

[He figured he could do that at least.]

[Yuffie rolls her eyes.]

What cha wanna do then?

I don't know, I think I'm just planning on getting something to eat, see if I know anyone else... That's it.

[He is not exactly the most outgoing when it came to these types of things.]

[Yuffie rolls her eyes and then walks past him.]

[His idea of a party sounds boring.]
