With Rukia's help they were able to find a large enough hall in Christmas Town to throw the party. Zelda had set it for this day since a group of brave heroes were going to set out on the 24th. She had made sure that everything was perfect and of course everyone was invited. There were at least six decorated trees with polished silver and gold ornaments hanging from their branches. Scarlet red ribbons decorated the trees and tables with large bows tying the streaming trails together.

There was one very large tree at the halls center and there were a few presents around the bottom for those who needed a place to put gifts. At it's top was a large pointed star.

Champagne and small finger snacks were set on the tables and a part of the room was cleared for those who wanted to dance. Zelda was even able to hire a few people to play Christmas songs throughout the night. There was a table dedicated to sweets with cookies, cakes, small pies and other wonderful treats spread out for people to try.

Among the decorations was mistletoe. This little plant hung above the doorways waiting for any pair who happens to be caught in their hold. Most of the mistletoe was thanks to Minako but Zelda might have put up one sprig at the entrance to the party; it's all in good fun and kisses on the hand or cheek are perfectly acceptable.

[Christmas is a holiday Levy's familiar with from home, and she's totally into the spirit of things at the party. She's got a Santa hat and a short red and white dress on, with cute fur-trimmed boots to match, and she's handing out gifts to everyone she knows as she makes her way through the gathering.]

Merry Christmas! This is for you.

[Spoilers: every gift is a book. Reading is fundamental. But at least she's put some thought into the subject matter of each one depending on who it's for. If you've ever talked to Levy at all, feel free to assume she has one for you.

Alternatively, she can be found at the refreshment table, on the dance floor, and even sitting underneath a sprig of mistletoe on purpose at one point. She does have her playful moments, after all.]

[Graham has already been overwhelmed by emotion by receiving not one, but two whole Christmas gifts so far. He's even wearing them - the scarf from Zelda and the earmuffs from Rukia. Yes, indoors. He doesn't care. And now Levy was handing him something. He looks at her from his spot on the floor against the wall, blinking in surprise.]

For... me? Seriously for me? Are you sure?!

[scriptrix]

Well... yeah. I mean, it's Christmas, after all.

[She doesn't see what's so odd about it. Honestly, she seems almost puzzled at his level of surprise.]

Three gifts, in one night?!

[He somehow looks simultaneously horrified and thrilled. He gets to his feet and paces in a small circle.]

What a sad and confusing story. I never thought anyone here would ever consider me in such a fashion. But now it's happened several times! I'm completely without anything to reciprocate it with. Is that not what this holiday is about? I hadn't planned to participate, and yet, I've been brought into the festivities without my consideration, in an act of goodwill by others. Should I be thankful for the gifts, or regretful that I chose not to do the same myself?

Holidays happen all around you, regardless of your feelings on them. And I'm not strong enough to stand against its waves! A tsunami of cheer and well-wishing will be my undoing!

[Whether or not he's accepting a gift yet is hard to tell.]

[What is even with this guy.]

...Do you want it or not?

[He has to think it over for just a moment, and then he nods his head.]

Yes, yes I do.

Okay. Here, then.

[Levy once again thrusts the gift forward. If and when Graham opens it, he'll find that it's a primer on the construction of Ancient technology from Mysidia.]

[bright_and_blue]

[Graham looks at it with awe for a moment.]

L-Let me tell you a-- a happy story! This is perfect! You got this from the Lost Continent? I never thought they'd have anything like this there.

[He was more distracted by the Enterprise than he was with anything else in Mysidia, really.]

Yeah. I know you like machines and stuff, so I thought this would be good. I don't know much about them myself.

[He starts to leaf through the book as he talks.]

I'm totally unprepared to reciprocate such generosity. "Reciprocate" is a great word, isn't it? I had no idea anyone would have gifts for me. My heart has been both filled with the spirits of generosity and guilt. But I'm grateful for this! I'll have to make it up, somehow. Mark my words.

[Is that a promise or a threat?]

Somehow?

[Levy blinks, her eyes going wide very briefly before she waves her hands in front of her face.]

You don't have to do that!

[bright_and_blue]

I don't? Isn't the point of all this to give and receive? It wouldn't be very much in the spirit of the season, and so far I hadn't cared to participate. Then people showed up with gifts for me. It's only right that I do the same!

But I suppose if you really don't want somethin', that's your decision. But you can't say I didn't offer.

[He shakes his head in disappointment.]
