Christmas Party & Cheer

With Rukia's help they were able to find a large enough hall in Christmas Town to throw the party. Zelda had set it for this day since a group of brave heroes were going to set out on the 24th. She had made sure that everything was perfect and of course everyone was invited. There were at least six decorated trees with polished silver and gold ornaments hanging from their branches. Scarlet red ribbons decorated the trees and tables with large bows tying the streaming trails together.

There was one very large tree at the halls center and there were a few presents around the bottom for those who needed a place to put gifts. At it's top was a large pointed star.

Champagne and small finger snacks were set on the tables and a part of the room was cleared for those who wanted to dance. Zelda was even able to hire a few people to play Christmas songs throughout the night. There was a table dedicated to sweets with cookies, cakes, small pies and other wonderful treats spread out for people to try.

Among the decorations was mistletoe. This little plant hung above the doorways waiting for any pair who happens to be caught in their hold. Most of the mistletoe was thanks to Minako but Zelda might have put up one sprig at the entrance to the party; it's all in good fun and kisses on the hand or cheek are perfectly acceptable.

[The only thing Chiaki can think of is napkins.]

Another pair of socks, of course. [naturally! though they could try that, it'd probably just be… crinkly.

She hums for a moment, shifting a little.]

A little tight, perhaps- I'll try not to stretch them if I can.

Can I borrow yours? I don't have a second pair here, and it might help you out too.

[her eyebrows rise, showing her surprise at the suggestion, but after a moment she nods, settling herself down to take shoes and socks off.]

Let's try it, then.

[and she holds the socks out, a little wistfully.]

[Chiaki sits down next to her to remove K'pandolu's shoes before taking the socks from her.]

I'll take good care of them.

[Leaning down, she stuffs them into the shoes before putting them back on.]

There.

[She wiggles her toes inside the shoes a bit, to see how they fit now.]

That's a little better.

I know you will.

[because Chiaki certainly seems responsible enough to do so.

She puts the shoes on again, flexing her feet, and nods at Chiaki with a smile.]

Good. Let's hope it stays that way, hm?

Mhm.

[Chiaki nods back, smiling as well as she watches K'pandolu try the shoes again.]

I can paint your toes again if you want, when we get back to the city.

[She'd noticed her previous polish job had long since come off.]

[it's not the most comfortable, but it'll do.

She brightens, ears perking up. This time seems a good time to have it redone!]

I'd like that! Perhaps we could play another game, too. When would it suit you for for me to come by?

I should have the dancing game from my shop in the Santa Village moved there by the new year. We can play that if you want, and then do the nails after. Anytime in the next week is fine, probably.

[she nods, humming for a moment.]

I still have a few pieces I'd like to finish up, so perhaps after that.

Yeah, same one. I got some help from Mysidian game designers and managed to make an arcade cabinet, so now we can play even after I switch out of Programmer and Engineer.

[Chiaki nods back, smiling.]

That's fine. You know where I live, so you can come over whenever you want.

Oh! That's handy. [after all, if she had to switch every time she wanted to play… well, that'd be pretty inconvenient.]

I'll do just that, then! By your leave. [she puts her hand over her heart, grinning.]
