With Rukia's help they were able to find a large enough hall in Christmas Town to throw the party. Zelda had set it for this day since a group of brave heroes were going to set out on the 24th. She had made sure that everything was perfect and of course everyone was invited. There were at least six decorated trees with polished silver and gold ornaments hanging from their branches. Scarlet red ribbons decorated the trees and tables with large bows tying the streaming trails together.

There was one very large tree at the halls center and there were a few presents around the bottom for those who needed a place to put gifts. At it's top was a large pointed star.

Champagne and small finger snacks were set on the tables and a part of the room was cleared for those who wanted to dance. Zelda was even able to hire a few people to play Christmas songs throughout the night. There was a table dedicated to sweets with cookies, cakes, small pies and other wonderful treats spread out for people to try.

Among the decorations was mistletoe. This little plant hung above the doorways waiting for any pair who happens to be caught in their hold. Most of the mistletoe was thanks to Minako but Zelda might have put up one sprig at the entrance to the party; it's all in good fun and kisses on the hand or cheek are perfectly acceptable.

A sly smile appears on Mary's lips as Reno explained what the gift was and only worked its way wider as he told her why he chose it. There were a good many reasons that Mary was courting Saori and this hadn't been one of them. Now though she was glad it was something to look forward to.

"Mmm, and do you have designs on helping her test the contents of the book? Or would you mind terribly if someone else now has plans for that?" She didn't know specifically what this Kupo Sutra entailed but the name was familiar enough to something from her own world. She just hoped the contents didn't match the tone of the title. Moogle porn was not something she was interested in.

Reno raised an eyebrow and pretty soon he mirrored Mary's sly smile. So that's what this was about.

"I can't say I hadn't thought about it," he admitted honestly. "However... If someone else did come along with such plans, and Saori was so inclined, then why should I mind?"

Mary seemed fun. And Reno had no hard and fast commitments to anyone here. If Mary was pursuing Saori, Reno had no reason to stand in the way. In fact, he could see the two doing well together.

"Have fun with page seventy-three." He winked.

"Mmm, good to know...on both counts. And our...arrangement won't cause any trouble for that book? This world has struck me as a bit more progressive than mine own but this is a rather new tidbit."

It was one thing to be in a world where she didn't have to hide her gender to get respect or even be welcomed into a fight. She could have freely joined the military here if she so chose, but she knew now that life wasn't for her anymore.

But some of the ~~fun~~ seedier aspects of life here were still managing to evade her gaze and she couldn't help but want to know more.

"Oh, I don't think you'll be disappointed. It's pretty diverse."

Reno noticed Graham trying to hide in a corner on the other side of the room. That was his cue. He nodded to Mary with another lift of his glass.

"I'll catch ya later. You can tell me how it goes."
