Being told by Cloud to trust Sephiroth... Rufus never thought he'd see the day. Then again, Cloud actually not being completely mistrustful of him was something in itself. Maybe there was some potential here that he could later use for his own benefit later on, although he was genuinely interested in getting rid of the Calamity still.
