His words pierced through her sadness like a ray of sunlight filtering through a thick mass of gray clouds. Much like Sephiroth, they were straight forward and to the point. It meant a great deal to her to hear them though she didn’t know if she could voice that feeling appropriately. She was truly blessed to have Sephiroth, and everyone, there for her.

She smiled at him. The happiness from the expression reached upward and filled her eyes with their usual warm glow which before now had been absent.

“Thank you. I know I’m not alone.”

There was no doubt in her mind that she wasn’t alone and she felt foolish for trying to act as if she was. They all have their faults but being stubborn usually does more harm than good.
