While he hasn't been ignoring it, he's certainly been kind enough not to call her out on it up until now. She'd given him time when he needed it, it's only right that he allow her the same courtesy.
He takes the rose and holds it in one hand, absently to one side as Sephiroth listens carefully to what Terra has to say; as if there is nothing else going on around them. There is certainly nothing else more important, even if he does keep his sense of awareness primed enough in case they might find themselves in danger. He only looks away at the mention of the L-word where it softened his expression inexplicably and he thought if he held her eye contact his own might burst. Just to reinforce his own self-control over emotions before they might run away with him again.
After a few blinks into the floor Sephiroth looks back up to Terra's face again, his eyes narrowed just a little. Between what he'd managed to glean from a handful of others, and the general atmosphere on the expedition afterwards he'd managed to surmise as such...yet as he looked into Terra's eyes again he found his thoughts at a hurdle. This had to be...specifically about him? That could only mean-]
