The number one rule in D&D: NEVER SPLIT THE PARTY

"Good thinking," Rukia agreed. Something about the crossing nagged at her just the same, but what was it? She urged Yuki forward but cast a reluctant look back toward the river and the large footprint that had sunk into the soft silt.

"...If it's that big, you would think the trees on the other side would be torn up," she suddenly realized. And yet, none of the plants on the other side of the shore appeared to have been ravaged or stepped on. So what did that mean?
