Jack looks across, at what Rukia is looking at, then back towards the foot print on their own side of the river. "Maybe it didn't cross..."

Even giant carnivores need sources of water, so maybe right here is the best spot for them. Jack adjusts his hand onto the hilt of his sword as he keeps walking along the river bank.
