"i thought this would be easier somehow..."
Characters: (ou) Yuna, Eco (possibly Baralai!) & open threads welcome!
Where: Initially the hospital, then enroute to the residential district. Later house B-7 (closed thread).
When: Post Thirteen Moogles event
Summary: Finally returning to the house since the incident, Yuna has a lot to think about...
Warning: None.
HOSPITAL STAY.
The next thing she knew, her face gently turned to hit the softness of a pillow. It was difficult at first, but eventually her eyes pried open, revealing a blurry world of light that she slowly blinked into focus.
"Where... Am I?" there was an ache in her head as Yuna tried her best to push herself up on the soft bed into a sitting position. With the motion, a sharp pain made itself known in her shoulder, causing a wince.
OUTSIDE THE HOSPITAL + ENROUTE.
It had been Yuna's first time as a patient at the hospital. Momolumi had been at her side the whole time acting, as best he could, the role of nurse to his poor fallen heroine. But having spent nearly a week in recovery, she finally managed to convince him that she was well enough to go home. Not before she checked the schedule of course, knowing that she would be back at work before long.
The large influx of patients after the incident had left her convinced that she needed to get back at it as soon as possible. Shading herself from the brightness of the sun, she took in a deep breath, stepping forward, and feeling the best she had in awhile. Momolumi followed closely behind, spirits high.
With a bright smile, she made her way to the residential district, feeling renewed and nodding towards anyone she might have met along the way. To those she made eye contact with, familiar or not, she greeted with a cheerful, "Hello."
HOUSE B-07. (closed to eco + baralai)
"Well, here we are," Yuna nodded in her moogle's direction as she approached the door. "Thank you for the escort, Momolumi," she joked, reaching forward and gently poking him in the stomach. "It has sort of become like home here by now hasn't it?" although she smiled as she mused aloud, though there seemed to be a sadness behind it as well.
With a small sigh, she reached forward, turning the knob and poking her head inside first. "Hello! I'm home..."

Enroute
"Hello," Hibiscus lightly nudged the young girls shoulder urging her to continue the conversation. "How are you doing?" Yeul's to was its usual calm note but she felt more awkward than she had in the past.
B-07, obviously
His thoughts broke when he heard someone else come by. He was like everyone else here, as far as he knew. Taxed with the responsibility to solve a problem that wasn't theirs. Not directly anyway. While he did have a few words to give to the people behind this, victims like himself Eco was more light-hearted to.
"Welcome home! ♥" Eco navigated to the front to greet her properly. "Pleasure to meet you! My name is Eco."
no subject
"And how about you, Yeul? Are you feeling better?"
no subject
"My name is Yuna. You must be... our new housemate, right? I'm sorry, it seems as though there was no one here to greet you," she apologized, "It... was a bit of a busy time, I suppose." Best to keep the details vague for now, she thought. There was no need to frighten him with the details right away... "Have you settled in? Is there anything I can help with?"
no subject
She knew that most didn't make it out of the event unscathed. Her own emotions were in turmoil but she kept them in check as she searched for her words.
Hibiscus flew silently next to her with a little paw holding on to the edge of her skirt. It was a light pressure but it was how Hibi was able to show Yeul her support.
no subject
"Are you hungry? Eco-tan is almost done preparing supper." He offered, still smiling.
His moogle didn't have much to say. She was still trying to figure Eco out. He was confusing to her.
no subject
"I'm... starved, to tell you the truth," she confessed, trailing into a light laugh as she approached the dining area.
no subject
She nodded, wondering how she could help to clear Yeul's conscience a little. "Would... you like to take a walk with me? It feels so good not to be confined to a bed -- I thought I would enjoy the afternoon."
no subject
Yeul reached down and grabbed Hibiscus little paw getting ready to follow Yuna. "Were you headed somewhere?"

The blonde shifted over to where the food of. "It's a roast with some vegetables!" He proclaimed in a warming voice. After everything that has happened today, he figured something a little hearty would do even him some good.
"Have a seat! I'll serve it to you~!" He pulled back a chair for her. She was a lady after all.
House B-07
Lora paid no attention to the soft spoken praetor which was something that Baralai had come to expect. He instead rolled his eyes out of view and sighed and this time, he pulled Lora away gently to coax her back. "Welcome home, Lady Yuna. I apologize for my moogle's behavior. Ever since we had left the temples, all she could talk about was Momolumi."
no subject
"Thank you so much -- for all of this. I can't help but feel it should have been us waiting on you, though," she quipped, with a smile.

"Thank you, Praetor Baralai," she bowed to show her gratitude at his welcome. It felt better than she had thought it would, to be back in this small home that they shared. "I hope that everything went well with your travels?"
no subject
"It has. I learned a great deal about the culture this world has to offer. It seems that the legends of the Heroes span further than just this city. Rumors are spreading like wild fire. I'm still no closer to understanding what the calamity they speak of. I'm wondering if it's something physical or if it's a manifestation of something deeper."
Lora let out a bored yawn after Baralai's little speech. "Yeah, yeah, we heard it all before, kupo."
no subject
"Me too." Her voice was soft and she wasn't even sure if Yuna had heard her. Yeul felt so lost but she wanted the strength to find her way without always turning to Caius. Maybe traveling was a good place for her to start as well.
no subject
"Eco-tan is just happy to have roommates!" This was no lie. He wouldn't know what to do if he were all by himself. While he held a level of independence, he was still dependent in some forms. "Don't be shy, have a bite." He prompted.
no subject
"What sort of places would you like to see, Yeul?"
no subject
"Um, are you... used to living with others, Eco?"
no subject
"I'd like to see any. I don't really know what's here." It was a hard truth for the young seeress but she wasn't about to shy away from it. She only knew how the world worked through her visions and now that she was separated from that she wanted to see it first hand.

Her question was a bit surprising, but not uncalled for given the direction of their conversation. He paused for the moment, deciding on whether or not he wanted to tell her all of the truth. She seemed sincere, but out of his own paranoia, he would withhold the details anyway.
"Back on my world, I would travel abroad and share songs of true stories." In other words, he was bard. "There was a cabin in the woods I would rent from a kind elderly gentleman from time to time. It wasn't until several of suns ago that I found a noble whose song I wish to have and began to travel with him." His tone notably less cheerful than before. "Until Crystallis happened. My partnership with him was still new."
Ever since he abandoned his previous life, he typically lived and traveled alone.
no subject
"Have you ever been to the beach before?"
no subject
"I travelled quite a bit as well," she confessed once she had swallowed down her mouthful. "Before coming here, I mean. But... it was nothing so exciting as for songs and stories." It had been out of necessity for the people of Spira, and then come the war, for survival.
we can probably just fade out on this one, i know you've got lots on your plate!! /o/
"And I'll get some tea for us." It was becoming a bit of a ritual for the two of them by now, wasn't it?
no subject
"No. My home was like a desert. Everything was dying." She didn't sound sad only like it was a fact that she had lived with her whole life. She didn't miss her home but she did miss her time there. If Noel were here then she would have her whole family back again but even so, she was happy that Caius had found her here.
no subject
"You traveled too?" He questioned with great interest. "I'm sure you have a great story worth sharing." If the belief of choosing people to become heroes, there had to be some standard, right?
