"Apparently, when Gaia repealed the meteor with the life stream it ripped holes in the planet. One of those came through parts of Wutai and a lot of people were killed or hurt. With that hole brought sickness, waterways were poisoned. The planet was saved but not in the state it had been in."

She sighed softly. "They would have blamed me if I told them we fought against psycho SOLDIER. Instead I just used the white materia I got from Cloud and helped to heal those there. Materia is hard to come by." Yuffie shrugged. "And I was the only who could really use it."
