As Genesis watched, Sephiroth took a book out from under his arm that was out of Genesis' viewpoint and raised it back to the shelf he had gotten it down from. It was a medium-sized tome on the Republic of Esdham and it's history, not that it'd be recognizable to anyone from that distance. If he were to be enlisting in any nations military, knowledge was what he needed in abundance. Until today, he'd only known it as the line in the sand between the Empire and possible world domination. Now he felt enlightened, and perhaps a little more convinced.
He huffed, just once, at some internal irony that struck him before Genesis spoke. Thankfully the book was already nestled back in it's correct place on the shelf and so Sephiroth didn't drop it. Always being so self-aware, he'd known someone had been there but hadn't paid any attention to whom it might be. One of the many silent but heavy indicators that he really wasn't in the mood for chit-chat with anyone.
Lowering his hand back down to his side; clad in leathers still up to his middle before it all vanished under a light grey sweater, Sephiroth drew a long sigh out to the floor before turning his gaze on his sometime-rival.
"Can't you give it up already? Even after a prolonged Crystal sleep?"
