Foreboding or what? Sephiroth wondered what Genesis meant by that - since we were part of ShinRa. As far as Sephiroth was concerned he knew where his loyalties still laid and, although there were many questions which he had only just scratched the surface off of, would it become justifiable for him to leave the Company over it? Where would he go afterwards anyway? Unlike his Banoran friends, working for ShinRa held for Sephiroth still a very strong notion of better-the-devil-you-know.

Besides, how would he get to the bottom of any of the concerning revelations he may have found, if he did not maintain his well-standing within the Company?

Sephiroth's eyes narrowed the longer he kept Genesis' eye contact and listened to him; thick lashes eventually only letting the smallest glint of green pass through them. No doubt Genesis would associate that firmly with the type of look he gave to anyone whom he was considering under intense scrutiny. He had -after all- heard all of this before while Genesis had been inundated with the madness that the degradation had brought. Or at least, this were the more civilized revelation Genesis were trying to tempt him with.

"I'm 'not viable', remember." His tone came with a firm finality well held up. Quoting perhaps one of the only times that Hollander had even addressed him directly. So bitter was that scientist over the success of the project that had given him life and all the glory that had come with it. Never mind the work that Sephiroth himself had done, for many years, to gain such a ranking. Sephiroth resisted the sneer that crept up his nose and shook his head to dismiss it. How he detested all the scientists.

"Turns out, that three was simply too much of a crowd."

It was a blunt, dismissive comment but it was all that Sephiroth could bring himself to say about the fact. He'd never been like Genesis, so eager to wear his heart on his sleeve and proclaim all about it to anyone who might hear. Best off as he always had been, to soldier on alone.

"What do you want, Genesis?"
