Behemoth Battle
WHO: Graham Specter, Kazuma Kuwabara, Rukia Kuchiki, Yuffie Kisaragi
WHAT: Rukia's got her team of four to go tackle the behemoth in hopes of claiming the fat gil reward to be split between them. Regardless of how it goes, they later hang out to eat. Now they all have the plague.
WHEN: May 8th, 2016 - Noon
WHERE: Monster Arena
NOTE: Even if Rukia's team does defeat it, the reward still stands for others who want to challenge the behemoth either solo or in a team of their own.
As a Beastmaster, Rukia had favored that particular costume over her second job, mostly because the thick furs and sturdy leathers kept her warm during the season of cold weather. Now that spring had spread and temperatures were climbing, she had opted to appear at this battle in the more comfortable and familiar Ninja robes she'd first donned upon awakening in the city all those months ago.
The four of them stood behind the gate of iron bars that led into the Arena. Rukia's hand rested upon the handle of her katana, which remained sheathed at her hip for the time being. She hadn't yet summoned her pets, as she would need to gauge the situation before deciding which to bring to the front of combat. Yuki was likely her best bet, as the chocobo could heal, and the rest of her companions were well-suited for dealing heavy damage.
She also neglected to use her Invisibility skill. If she did this, the others were more likely to be targeted and attacked by the behemoth. Unless she became gravely injured, she would appear alongside the others.
Twice.
While she didn't plan to go invisible unless it was a last resort, having a clone of herself at the ready would be quite useful indeed.
The rattle of a metal chain clinked rhythmically as their gate slowly began to rise. On the other side of the arena, she could see the behemoth snorting and tearing at the ground behind its own enormous gate, beady eyes locked on the Heroes it was about to fight. "Is everyone prepared?" she asked, drawing her sword and gripping it tightly.

Yuffie blinked in a puff of dark smoke. She slipped the potion from her pocket and then place it in front of Rukia before turning to the Behemoth which was dangerously close to them.
"Bastard!" She threw her blade, watching as it spun and slashed across the creature's face. She's taking Graham's approach with it. She ran forward, heedless of the danger. She'd rather it attack her and give Rukia time to recover. The creature roared up. "Oh shit!"
Yuffie tried to pause in her running at it when it's two large feet crashed back down, shaking the ground and anyone caught beneath his strike.

Kuwabara shouted when he saw the girl get hit. He moved out of the way just as Graham was aiming for the same spot, making a quick 180, he rushed to get a hold of Rukia while Yuffie was slashing the creature for cutting her. God damn it all! This wasn't suppose to happen like this and he wasn't the type to sit around and watch a girl get hurt. He was going to go after her and make sure she was safe.
He moved in front of the other readying to attack the screeching beast that was now pissed that its face got slashed and legs were knifed. He lets out a large roar as he swiped angrily at the two that were going at it with him.

It took a step back, then another, oddly docile. Was it surrendering?
Rukia reached for the potion with a quick word of thanks to Yuffie, but her fingers froze as she noticed small rocks starting to rise from the dust. What was this...? Yuki was squawking in a panic, and for a moment Rukia furrowed her brow. Then her eyes widened.
"TAKE COVER!" she shouted. "It's casting Ultima!" Quickly she downed the potion, but even with that, she wasn't sure she'd survive the spell. A snap of her fingers dismissed Yuki so she wouldn't get caught in the blast. Her head jerked sharply toward Kuwabara as she reached out to grasp his sleeve. "Get beneath the creature. I don't think the spell will extend there!"

Yuffie waved to Rukia and Kuwabara trying her best to make sure that everyone was safe before taking cover herself. Graham was in a good place to duck and hide beneath the monster but Kuwabara and Rukia were still against the far wall. She dashed towards the pair with the intent to help though she wasn’t sure if she’d be quick enough to avoid the blast.
She gritted her teeth, swallowing her frustration before turning on her heels. Time, they needed time. “I GOT IT!” She put her hands together casting haste on Rukia. Kuwabara already had it and she hoped it would be enough to help her move from the path of the spell.

He shouted back as he made some quick observation to see how he'd get underneath the creature.
Kuwabara took the effort to probably lead Rukia to safety first since she was the one with injuries compared to his own. Kuwabara was the tough type that could handle a couple of injuries and still stay standing out of sheer will.
When Yuffie called to them he dived as fast as he could, while attempting to take Rukia with him so they could all take cover at the same

It seemed everyone had made it to the safe zone. The behemoth snorted angrily, attempting to slap them away with its deadly tail. Once they were there, Rukia slid off of Kuwabara's back and knelt on the ground, breathing heavily.
Then the behemoth's legs shot out and it belly flopped on top of all of them. BAD END.As she caught her breath, she glanced up, curious as to why the behemoth wasn't moving out of its spot. Did that mean it couldn't be selective about who the Ultima spell? If it was an area-of-effect spell, that meant it could be hurt by its own magic. Reflect couldn't stop that kind of powerful magic, and it didn't seem like the spell could be interrupted or stopped.
Rukia had an idea.
"Can we drive it from this spot?" her head snapped around to fix on the others. "If we can make it move forward a couple of feet, that should be all we need." Just to get its head into the spell range... That would almost certainly do it.

“Okay, great plan…” She began as if she might have an idea. “I don’t know how to do that.”
Nope, no ideas.

Using his wrench as leverage, he started to push on one of its front legs, in the hopes of getting it to slide or stumble, or anything.
"If we want it to move, then we make it move!"

He's pretty good at playing bait after all.
"Leave it ta me and help cover me. I got this beast!"
He then runs forward and throws his Javelin straight at the beast, causing a loud painful reaction from it when he finally connected the attack. He used all his powers to make sure it was lodged in the creature enough so that it would freak out.

The creature thrashed and roared loud enough to cause pain to anyone too close to the source of the noise. Rukia winced, her hands rising almost automaticallly to clap over her ears to protect them. But there were also four large feet stamping around and a lashing tail that had to be avoided.
In short, no one was going to come out of this encounter completely unscathed. There was a reason these creatures were so dangerous.
However, the end result was far more beneficial to the party than the behemoth, as its thrashing forced it to move outside the protected area where the spell had been cast. Blue light bloomed from the ground, enveloping all it touched in blazing, fierce energy. It ripped into the behemoth's left side where it had blundered in a frantic attempt to get at the javelin, leaving large gashes and splits in its tough hide to expose bloodied red muscle, and a flash of white from one of its more prominent ribs. Even part of its face had been torn away, and the result was a nauseating visage that would likely haunt any who laid eyes on it.
Also, it wasn't dead.
Rukia knelt on one knee, panting heavily, and locked her fingers together before making a wild slashing gesture. Hades, formerly known as the Reaper, spun itself into existence out of a plume of red smoke, and conjured an enormous cauldron in front of it. Perhaps now that part of the creature was exposed, it might be more vulnerable to their attacks. It was worth a shot in any case, as Rukia unleashed a wave of debilitating status effects on the wounded beast.

Everything hurt but she looked up to see the Behemoth as the spell was released.
Yuffie watched the daunting reaper appear and for a second just stared. She let the moment end and threw everything she had left at the beast. She felt the ache in her joints recced as a furrow of blades went soaring towards the downed monster.]

sorry a lot of stuff happened and i couldn't tag! forgive me for being really late!
He's staring at the giant angry creature that wasn't yet dead. Aw, c'mon seriously!? Just die already god damn it. He didn't want to deal with its angry stomping or swinging anymore. He did his best to shake off the damage and getting back to his feet. He's read to back up anyone if they need it.
It was only three days, that's not bad at all.
Finally! No more Meteor, Flare, or Ultima to worry about. The Heroes tore at it with every last bit of strength they had. Finally, at long last, it emitted a quiet keening groan and collapsed heavily on its side. It lay still.
Victory. Friggin'. Fanfare.
The doors to the Colosseum slid open, and Rukia dropped to one knee with a shaky sigh of relief. She was completely exhausted, but happy. "Well done," she panted, chuckling. "You all fought magnificently."

She looked from Rukia to the other two. "How you guys holdin' up?"

"All in a day's work! I need more challenges like this in my life. I was almost not bored for a few minutes there!"

Looks like Mr. Kuwabara exhausted himself. Man, did he need a damn nap.
"Yeah-- man we got 'im good damn."
