Dancing All Night
Who: Everyone
What: A slumber party at the Observatory so the Heroes can experience something nice for once.
Where: Old Observatory
When: Night of May 12th - Morning of May 13th
Warnings: If your character comes, there's a huge change they'll catch the sickness from someone else who's infected but doesn't show the symptoms. Duster will have many regrets in the future.
[All those that had been invited to the Observatory tonight would see all the windows on the bottom floors lit up before sundown. Duster and Zelda had spent most of today setting up bedding and rearranging the furniture in preparation, and then Duster had to run back home to change into his new suit.
There were multiple rooms with lights set up. One has a corner turned into a makeshift stage where musicians could perform. Two had tables of food. Several rooms were left alone for partygoers to have private moments (Tamekichi suggested that). There was also a box of beer bottles as a sad attempt at a bar, with an empty bottle marking the area where party games were to be played, Spin the Bottle included (all that was Tamekichi's suggestion, too).
Duster greets the arrivals at the door with a soft smile, wearing a periwinkle suit, a white dress shirt, a red shit, and black dress shoes.]
Welcome to Club Ixen! It's time we had some fun.

Fine. You're not half-bad with your...[Wait, no, that's sort of backhanded, huh? He shakes his head and starts again.]
You're not a terrible...[DAMN IT, that's not right either. It's like compliments reform themselves into insults on the tip of his tongue. Why is this so hard?]
[He grits his teeth and starts a third time.]
That suit...looks good on you. [Santa's cheeks have gone pink and he's scowling now. He's fighting back the impulse to qualify that statement with a joke or a barb, but he can't. It makes him feel entirely too exposed. People aren't supposed to just say what they think. That's so fuckin' weird.]

Huh. He's got some nice eyelashes, now that he looks--
Hold on, he's talking. Well, more like saying half a sentence and taking it back while he turns pink. Time to tune in and enjoy the fruit of his labor.] See? Just like that. [Duster's sure he has never gotten over finally getting compliments because he feels himself turning pink. That, and he's achieved what was once thought to be impossible.]

ly cutetaking a compliment as Santa figured he'd be.]Yeah, just don't expect to hear it ever again.
[He turns away from Duster, still flushed, and waves for the next person in the circle to go already.]
