Dancing All Night
Who: Everyone
What: A slumber party at the Observatory so the Heroes can experience something nice for once.
Where: Old Observatory
When: Night of May 12th - Morning of May 13th
Warnings: If your character comes, there's a huge change they'll catch the sickness from someone else who's infected but doesn't show the symptoms. Duster will have many regrets in the future.
[All those that had been invited to the Observatory tonight would see all the windows on the bottom floors lit up before sundown. Duster and Zelda had spent most of today setting up bedding and rearranging the furniture in preparation, and then Duster had to run back home to change into his new suit.
There were multiple rooms with lights set up. One has a corner turned into a makeshift stage where musicians could perform. Two had tables of food. Several rooms were left alone for partygoers to have private moments (Tamekichi suggested that). There was also a box of beer bottles as a sad attempt at a bar, with an empty bottle marking the area where party games were to be played, Spin the Bottle included (all that was Tamekichi's suggestion, too).
Duster greets the arrivals at the door with a soft smile, wearing a periwinkle suit, a white dress shirt, a red shit, and black dress shoes.]
Welcome to Club Ixen! It's time we had some fun.

[Imagine: harp with a sick drum beat and guitar harmony. It's going to be the next big thing.]
I played a lot of jazz before. We can try that?

[He's got the electric guitar, but no amps, no pedals, no monitors... Tragic, really.]
Ha, man I haven't done anythin' jazz in years. Had to for school, y'know? I know I don't look like a band geek, but it was the only thing I ever gave a shit about in school.

[Horns are considered "cool"...why would Johnny be involved in rock bands?]
Then again, I had to wear a wig to really fit in with the rest of the guys. Sometimes, looks matter.
[Despite the suit he's wearing, he still looks like a tired nerd who would spend hours after school practicing the bass in the corner of the music room.]

I feel that. It's pretty much the reason I gave up on bein' in a band back home. Guy who looks like me has to be an idiot to think he can be up on stage. Doesn't mean I'm against some jam sessions, though/

I dunno. I'm sure you don't look any different from the other people from your world. [Assuming everyone from Johnny's world has horns and looks like a demon.] I guess humans have a different set of standards.

[He waves a hand to dismiss it. No reason to get into the nitty gritty.]
Point is, unless I was playin' a stage in a side show, then there was no way I could really go out in public 'n play and get all that attention.

[That's...well.]
Sorry, I shouldn't have assumed.
[Fortunately for him, Johnny doesn't look that upset and wants to change the topic.]
At least you have a better chance here. There's not as many humans here.

Yeah, that does help. I'm still the only half demon walkin' around though. Gets me a lotta weird looks and even more questions, but it ain't as bad as back home.
[He chuckles a little at another thought.]
Now I just gotta get 'em to like the kinda music I like to play, too.
