Dancing All Night
Who: Everyone
What: A slumber party at the Observatory so the Heroes can experience something nice for once.
Where: Old Observatory
When: Night of May 12th - Morning of May 13th
Warnings: If your character comes, there's a huge change they'll catch the sickness from someone else who's infected but doesn't show the symptoms. Duster will have many regrets in the future.
[All those that had been invited to the Observatory tonight would see all the windows on the bottom floors lit up before sundown. Duster and Zelda had spent most of today setting up bedding and rearranging the furniture in preparation, and then Duster had to run back home to change into his new suit.
There were multiple rooms with lights set up. One has a corner turned into a makeshift stage where musicians could perform. Two had tables of food. Several rooms were left alone for partygoers to have private moments (Tamekichi suggested that). There was also a box of beer bottles as a sad attempt at a bar, with an empty bottle marking the area where party games were to be played, Spin the Bottle included (all that was Tamekichi's suggestion, too).
Duster greets the arrivals at the door with a soft smile, wearing a periwinkle suit, a white dress shirt, a red shit, and black dress shoes.]
Welcome to Club Ixen! It's time we had some fun.

[But as big as he is, he doesn't really seem like he's here to hurt or scare anyone. What notes does he mean?]
Fruit compotes?
[She holds up a tray of snacks, including a little fruit pastry someone brought. Don't mind her, she just thinks she's funny when she's not funny at all.]
no subject
Oh. Those look nice?
[He's not sure what to say at first. He doesn't get that it's a joke, so he just stares down at Akane. Watching. Waiting. Yeah, he's confused.]
...But I said notes.

[It figures. Only Junpei seems to get Akane's weird humor, alas.]
I haven't seen any. But you're welcome to join us! There's lots of food, and games to play. Why don't you stay for a while?
no subject
[He figures they all must be if they're having a party instead of working hard to stop that Calamity thing.]
I don't really play games. I just came here to read.

I only just got here. My brother brought me along so I could meet new people. And look, we're meeting each other right now, so it worked out pretty great!
[She knuckles her chin thoughtfully.]
Well, nothing wrong with reading... Will you join us when you're finished?
no subject
[Geez, these people are so friendly. They take one look at him and they don't even...question anything, do they? It makes him feel good and normal, so he has to push harder to keep that from showing.]
I don't...do parties. [He really wants to stop remembering how he went to a Christmas party and was shot there, actually.] I'll stay out of your way.
no subject
[She doesn't want to force him into coming, but she'll persist if it looks like he just wants to be persuaded.]
You can sit next to me. I'll save you a spot, so you can jump right in after you've finished.
no subject
[The kind of person easily taken advantage of. Or hurt. Oh, if only he knew.]
You can save me a seat if you want. But it's just going to get cold.
no subject
[But only people who are over a hundred years old use the word 'chump' don't they? Well, Akane isn't so easily daunted, and offers nothing less than the sunniest of smiles.]
Then I'll borrow a fire crystal to keep it warm for you. Come find me when you're done!
[And off she goes before he can refuse her again.]

[Did he accidentally call her cute? Maybe. But it doesn't matter, because she's off to the races.
He's not going to rejoin her, no, parties aren't his thing but he also just has too much to read over if he's going to try to get the gist of what's going on. Maybe next time, June. He's definitely not going to forget the meeting at any rate.]
