Dancing All Night

What: A slumber party at the Observatory so the Heroes can experience something nice for once.
Where: Old Observatory
When: Night of May 12th - Morning of May 13th
Warnings: If your character comes, there's a huge change they'll catch the sickness from someone else who's infected but doesn't show the symptoms. Duster will have many regrets in the future.

[All those that had been invited to the Observatory tonight would see all the windows on the bottom floors lit up before sundown. Duster and Zelda had spent most of today setting up bedding and rearranging the furniture in preparation, and then Duster had to run back home to change into his new suit.

There were multiple rooms with lights set up. One has a corner turned into a makeshift stage where musicians could perform. Two had tables of food. Several rooms were left alone for partygoers to have private moments (Tamekichi suggested that). There was also a box of beer bottles as a sad attempt at a bar, with an empty bottle marking the area where party games were to be played, Spin the Bottle included (all that was Tamekichi's suggestion, too).

Duster greets the arrivals at the door with a soft smile, wearing a periwinkle suit, a white dress shirt, a red shit, and black dress shoes.]

Welcome to Club Ixen! It's time we had some fun.

[Dylas looks like he can punch Duster at any moment, but that would be intimidating if he didn't have experience fighting. Besides, he has fast reflexes and a cookie in his pocket to save him from a one hit knockout.

Eating food on the brink of death doesn't do much in Crystallis, but as long Duster believes it will work, he has nothing to fear.]

Sure. I made sure that some of these rooms are for resting. Even I need to take a break from parties once in a while.

[Duster doesn't know if he's a introvert by nature or his upbringing makes it difficult for him to socialize for long periods of time, but working on music is easier when alone.]

So...yeah. [He drops his arms to his sides and lets them swing.] Want to go now?

[He takes a moment before answering as he thinks about a few things himself. This really isn't going well. Even if he wants to be intimidating and left alone because that's the best thing in everyone's interests as far as he's concerned, he might be overdoing it a little. He's not sure. He doesn't know how to fit in this city and he hates it here.

But he has to learn if he's going to make any steps forward.]

As long as you take a break in a different room, you can do whatever you want.

[He's made it clear he doesn't like parties, right? As for what he thinks of Duster...he really isn't sure.]

If it's this way, I can find them by myself. Thanks.

...crap, he just thanked the guy he's trying to intimidate. There's a long pause and the flick of his tail.]

Thanks for nothing, I mean, for...getting in the way.

[Duster bites his lip, still a little tense from the confrontation. At least Dylas apologized? He might not punch him in the face anything soon.

He nods.] Yeah. Up two flights of stairs and to the right. Uh.

[He brushes a bit of hair behind his ear.]

You can also come down to join us whenever you want.

[He looks at the direction he's going to be heading and almost turns to head off. He should probably acknowledge Duster again, though, especially as he's invited to join the party.

Is this guy serious? He'd practically just threatened him to keep the party away from him.]

...Funny. [That's not funny. He feels like he's being mocked, like that isn't a genuine invitation.] I'll be sure to do just that. [He's funny, too.]

[Duster answers by stuffing his hands in his pockets and eyeing the floor. He's trying to be polite to the newcomer, but it looks like Dylas is another one of those that don't care how restrained he acts. There's not much variety to Duster's methods of dealing with difficult people, so he just nods and steps aside before turning back to the food room.]
