One successful assassination at the wrong time would have been all it took to stop new Heroes from awakening. Cid and the Enterprise would have never been found, the knowledge of Mysidia would have gone undiscovered, and the Empire would have conquered this continent and Aqures Ixen with it. And that's not even taking the Calamity into account. How, exactly, would that have protected the people?"
He gave a shrug. "We have no choice but to trust her regardless. I'd rather have an ally who plans ahead over a blindly idealistic one."
