A short time later, there was a knock at the door before it swung open to reveal Saori. She had a tray with two coffee cups with her. It was only when the door was closed, she spoke. The normal cheer in her voice was weighed down from nearly working nonstop for weeks.

"Sorry, I would've slipped in something stronger but security here has been rather tight." She placed the tray down on the table between them. It must have been odd for Mary to see Saori in uniform. For Saori, there might as well been a glass wall dividing them. She couldn't risk revealing her ties to Kidd at her workplace as much as she wanted to be with her for both their sake.
