When: 15th June - 30th June.
Summary: Catch-all log for the Cluedo Event. If you would like to pursue investigations and play out the fall-out of the Cluedo events, this is the post for you. Please refer to the second OOC Post for the setting and what there is to be played. Another Log will be posted at a later date to play the murders.

[Ib stumbles back a few steps, but recovers quickly and reaches forward to tug on Akane's sleeve.]

I- I don't know!

[But she does take a nervous glance behind her, just to make sure. It doesn't seem like anyone followed her though.]

But back there! There's been a... m- murder...

[Her voice cracks a little on that word.]

[sesenta]

[Akane's eyes snap wide open. A murder? In this town? But she thought it was the safest place for anyone to be! Part of her wants to investigate, but not if there's a little girl in danger. She nods once, understanding.]

Come with me, then. I'll disguise myself as something scary, so no one will mess with us!

[She uses her Disguise skill, and poof! Now she looks like Dylas, the big horse-deer-monster that he is. She looks behind her, giving her illusionary tail a swish, and looks pleased with the results.]

Do you want to go to the cafe, or is there somewhere safe you can be? I'll contact the police.

Okay....

[In other circumstances, Ib would be impressed. She has the illusionist job too, but never came up with anything that impressive looking.]

I'll... I'll go with you. To the police.

[That would be safest. Although what she really wants to do is go home. If only she'd never come out today..]

[sesenta]

Oh, that's a brave response!

[She grins, showing a mouthful of fangs that makes her look more goofy than scary.]

Don't worry, we'll get there safely. If anyone tries to mess with us, I'll charge them with my horns.

[Just ask Hisui what kind of damage she can do with her errant headbutts at groin level.]

[She offers a big hand to Ib if the girl wants to take it, and walks protectively at her side. Akane would dearly love to ask what happened, but she'll wait until they're at the police station so Ib can give her report to the authorities. Akane will just listen in while they're there and see if she can't make anything out of the information.]

[Ib returns the smile shyly and hesitantly as she takes Akane's hand. Akane's confidence is doing a lot to assuage her fears. Surely they'll be alright. The police will know what to do.]

Okay. Thanks...

[Ib's statement is short. She ran away too quickly to really investigate. She'd found James Kidd standing over Jade who was lying on the ground. She thought at first that Jade was sleeping, or perhaps they were playing a game- until she saw the bloody wound in Jade's chest.

She turned to flee and noticed two other bodies lying nearby. She was too scared to stay and look though. It's clear she feels bad about leaving without trying to learn anything, but the authorities are quick to assure the little girl that she made the right choice.]

[Despite the big scary illusion, the hand that holds Ib's is small and feminine. Akane has to concentrate to adjust the image, so it looks like Ib is holding to Dylas's big ol' monster paw, but it doesn't take more than a few seconds.]

[After Ib gives her statement, and Akane looks decidedly more Akane-like, she waits patiently nearby. Ironically, Akane may have taken the form of the actual murderer, but she doesn't realize this yet as she hasn't seen the bodies or the evidence that might make her consider Dylas. The authorities say they have it in hand, so Akane supposes she shouldn't snoop around and get in their way.]

[It's very late when it's all over, and Akane rises from her chair to brush at her robes.]

You could probably use some rest. Do you want me to walk you home?

[Maybe Akane can make some hot milk for her to help her relax and sleep better.]
