Summary: Catch-all log for the Cluedo Event. If you would like to pursue investigations and play out the fall-out of the Cluedo events, this is the post for you. [ From afar Edna could see the clenched hands he had at his sides, as well as the hanging of his head. Mikleo was more than ashamed of what he had done-- whether he was clearly under the influence of something or not. He did commit a crime. He killed a human and a friend he had struck conversation with for no apparent reason.

He didn't even know it happened until he snapped into reality and he was covered in Hisui's blood. His expression is unreadable hidden by the bangs on his face, but in a shaky voice, he manages to reply to Edna's question. ]

I--I...Yeah.

[ He manages to squeeze out but there was so much guilt laced in his voice as he tightened the fist he was making. ]

How could I have done something so-- cruel? This isn't suppose to happen.

( she let his words hang between them for a little while, unmoving. then finally, closed her eyes, grasping the handle of her umbrella in both hands, her grip loose. )

Didn't I warn you not to get involved with the humans? Nothing good ever comes of it. In the end, one of you is always going to suffer, whether it's them, or you. ( and in cases like these... both. )

[ Eventually, he pulls his hand back from Hisui’s corpse It’s only a matter of time before he gets renewed in the Crystal—if at all. It was something that he feared with the Heroes of Light. Some tend to stay in the Crystal while others are completely demolished. He didn’t want Hisui to be one of those people that would never come back. He couldn’t ever forgive himself if that were to happen not that he would right now either. Edna’s words were true but Mikleo still liked humans and he like Sorey he believed in the best of everyone no matter the mistakes. He wasn’t going to be jaded by this. He’ll just have to work harder to prevent it in the future. ]

I’m aware of what you’re trying to say Edna, but it doesn’t change anything for me. I still want to be around them—humans and others.

[ It just hurts when you cause paint to those you care about. ]

( of course he would say something like that. she knew he would, mikleo was just that predictable, as far as she was concerned. predictable and hopeless... knowing that, she carried on. )

They're selfish and short-sighted, always wanting to get more out of their lot in life.

( and finally, as she approached, she raised her collapsed umbrella to poke him in the gut. ) But not even the dumbest of earth-dwellers would be stupid enough to believe you did this on purpose.

[ He is hopeless, sometimes probably more than Sorey, but they were two peas in a pod in that regard. No matter what, Mikleo wasn't going to change his ways even if Edna did have a point in all of this. He knew she wasn't wrong and he knew she had her reasons. ]

Even so, it's those sort of emotions that make them different. They can adapt and change gradually with the mistakes they make. Even their selfishness is put into play.

[ He clenched his hands tighter as he watched the scene. It was a long shot but he remembered all the others that were involved in this mess and he wasn't afraid to turn himself in. ]

[ Mikleo's whole body jolts to the side at the contact of the pointed umbrella at his side. ]

Ouch! What was that for?!

[ He snapped back at her clearly ticked off but it definitely loosen the amount of tension in the air. ]

That's not the point here.

[ He retorts. That was the last thing he cared about. Even if they judged and blamed him he wouldn't stop them. He knew that he had done wrong. ]

( the umbrella is back on her shoulder, without an explanation of course. was she really going to have to spell this out for you, mikleo?

[ Well if she would at least be nice about it for once, maybe he'd get it but clearly it'd be really weird if Edna was anyone but herself. He sighs as she said those words to him. He's not trying to mope but he couldn't stop feeling the way he did to the one person he considered a friend in this place. Not that he was short on them but it's not exactly a good impression. ]

That's not what I'm trying to say. You know that.

[ He's defeated obviously. Edna had a point. ]

[ He can't really argue with her right now. All he can do is make a frustrated face for her comments. ]

her eyes close as she continues, with a sigh— ) Let me guess. The human was a friend of yours, weren't they.

[ Well, that's true. He can't argue with that. Her violent hits weren't actually that violent. Even if they were, they never truly hurt that badly. ]

...

[ She's right, and he knows she's right but he can't help but feel that way. It's hard to get over it when someone he hurt was not a stranger but a friend. Not to say that he preferred to hurt innocent people that weren't his friends of course. It was just a little easier if it were strangers. He clenched his fists close by his side keeping his breaths even. He's clearly pretty beaten up by this no matter how she looked at it. ]

N-no. He hasn't not once but lives aren't something that should be toyed with regardless of the circumstances that we are put in Edna. I can't think about it like-- that.

[ There's another long silence after he said that and following her words. ]
