Vincent nodded, watching her a bit. It wasn't surprising that few would let her forget, certainly not this world where their pasts both did and didn't matter. Sometimes, Vincent wondered if the only reason he himself didn't hold more against her was because he could both see her remorse, and he held himself responsible for much of it too.

That had been one of their 'talks' after they returned. Personally Vincent felt it was progress, that he and Lucrecia were aware and treating each other as adults, but with caution. Just because there was care and hints of affection, didn't mean they should forget so easily. It was why they were taking things so slowly, and attempting to be friends, more than anything, first.
