Selphie was impressed with the display from Chrom at the basic technique with a sword. She placed the practice sword she'd pulled out earlier on the top of a nearby barrel as she accepted the sword he'd selected. The minute she gripped the blade, one hand over the other, she could already feel the difference. It felt more like a Rapier or one of its cousin blades as she put a few feet between the two of them.
"Let's see," Selphie said curiously before swinging the blade down as her eyes widened in surprise.
It was far lighter than her original choice and felt more like an extension of her body than a cumbersome lump of metal in her hands. Perhaps it was because it was wooden but the style of the weapon itself was making all the difference. Jaelyn was nodding her approval as Selphie quickly put her original choice back in the barrel.
"Yep," Selphie nodded with an excited grin. "Definitely using the wrong type of sword. I'll have to see how much Gil I've got saved up to find something similar to this one. Is it a Rapier or an Estoc? Light and generally used for thrusting attacks, using the wielder's speed if I'm remembering correctly."
So... Rapier or Estoc style is my question?
