if they saw me now, what would they think [open]
WHO: Dylas, open
WHAT: Dylas killed four people (¯\_(ツ)_/¯) and, despite mind control being the reason, has decided to hole up in the holding cell he's been staying in much to Spark's dismay. Why won't he leave?!
WHEN: Early July
WHERE: Aqures Ixen Police Station
[At least the cot is somehow big enough for him.
Dylas never thought he’d be in this position. During the day, he mostly sleeps. It’s a little uncomfortable, but being the Vampire-job bearer he is, it’s the easiest time for him to do it. It’s impossible to sleep all day with all the noise, though, so Koporo comes and goes, bringing him food and books, fearing the day that Biggs will dock his or his family’s pay after the letter he sent.
Other than that, it’s all quiet. Too quiet, really, considering his pacing doesn’t make a sound as he walks back and forth in his small cell. It’s not even a proper prison, but here he is. It’s better than being out there. He doesn’t know what the others think of him, he hadn’t even been here two months before starting to kill again. It’s better if he’s locked up. That’s what he thinks, anyways.
But he’s still bored.
Sometimes, he stands next to the bars, watching the people come and go, staring at them while they do their work. He’s been told he’s free to leave, but refusing to leave is also kind of a crime, or maybe they’re just humoring him. He isn’t sure, but here he is. Two weeks into his stay, and the police station has yet to rid themselves of the wendigo.]

[His tail gives a flick at what he thinks are great nicknames for her.]
It's Dylas. [He doesn't mind giving his name. He still sounds a little annoyed by Yuffie in general, but he's not going to fight her presence, either. Nothing he can do about it. He's the one in fake jail.] I haven't been around long.

[They all live in the same district.
When it seems like there is nothing to be found in the desk her head turns back towards Dylas. Dark almond eyes inspect him and his form curiously.]
What are you? I've met others with tails before but that's mostly it.
no subject
[Dylas doesn't live in the same district.
He uses the inns in town because he's a hideous monster who can't get trusted and wasn't comfortable living with someone he didn't know.]
It depends on who you ask. Just calling me a monster'd be easiest.
no subject
You seem to have a thing against nicknames, names and titles you know that. Also there are a lot of kinds of monsters. It'd be rude to them to just lump you under a general statement.
no subject
[Her insistence that monsters would take offense to something so stupid completely boggles his mind. What is she going on about?]
I don't have a problem with any of those things, you're just terrible at them.
no subject
That's so mean! Why would you say that?
[She is enjoying this conversation... or was. Now he's being a jerk.]
no subject
[Now he's just making fun of her a little.]
no subject
[They wouldn't get along as cellmates.]
Besides, isn't the door unlocked?
no subject
[He's here because he wants to be, so. There's no point.]
no subject
Okay, I like you. You're weird.
[It sounds oddly like a compliment.]
no subject
[He blinks, then steps back.]
You're not supposed to like me! I'm an asshole!
no subject
[Sorry Dylas, she's still smiling.]
no subject
[He's actually flustered.]
Weren't you supposed to be messing with his things?
no subject
I already did and you are honest, just maybe not to yourself.
[He's sort of cute when he gets flustered and Yuffie's having to much fun with this.]
no subject
[Gods, this girl is a headache. What is it with teenage girls coming up to him and being all smiley? He considers growling at her, but he's pretty sure she'd laugh just to spite him.
So he sits on his cot instead, distancing himself from the situation.]
I'm not someone you want to be around. Look—I'm here for a reason, okay?
no subject
I don't really know why we're here.
You skipped that part.
no subject
[He's pretty sure he's said that part at least. Oh, well. "It's none of your business" is something he says to everyone, so.]
no subject
[She just decided this.]
no subject
I don't need friends. Stop acting like you understand anything about me. We're not even the same species.
no subject
[Yuffie waves a hand.]
If you're gonna be a grump then I'll go. I just thought you'd be lonely. Let me know if you wanna play some triple triad or something. I'll bring cards next time I riffle through Sparky's things.
no subject
[Dylas is going to narc on her, seriously. As soon as Sparks gets back. Hell, he might step out of his cell, fix the papers, and then step back inside. Maybe. He does leave to shower.]
I'm not lonely. And I don't know what Triple Triad is. Pick someone else and have fun pretending to understand them instead, I don't care.
no subject
[There is a slight edge to her voice as her patience for him slowly wears away.]
Fine we can play another card game, it's not like I have enough cards for you anyway.
[Yuffie doesn't really consider playing with someone else and as she continues she turns towards the door to leave.]
You're still very weird but not a monster.
no subject
[He's dead wrong, but who else would just run around declaring their princess title?
He's still not sure what card game she's talking about, but he'll ask Koporo about it later and be filled in.]
And don't assume things about people you've just met, it makes you sound like you're full of crap.
[Maybe he should take his own advice? Maybe?]
no subject
You should really take your own advice.
[With that she dashes off unable to hear him or whatever retort he might have.]
