Duster was ready to leave Palitutu behind. She had hurt too many people, tried to destroy her own world, and she refused to change her ways. The thought of sparing her was outlandish. Didn't she say she wanted to die? Was there something good beneath all that evil that was worth saving.

Duster couldn't know that Fassad was immortal back then, but the realization of what they were had brought severe implications: lying at the bottom of the sewers, wounded from battle, yet unable to die until the final Needle was pulled. Waiting for it to be all over.
