Sephiroth wasn't about to scoot in closer to Jade as he conjured the fire magic but he could feel the radiating warmth from that side of him and it was appreciated. He turned himself minutely more to face it though and occasionally stretched gloved hands out in front towards it to warm his palms. The warmth would linger in the leather for a little while at least; it was more the lack of food that he was starting to be concerned with.
So far the custom job had served well but, like everything, it needed its fuel.
The sound of a voice that was unrecognized quickly had Sephiroth back on his feet and spun around in the direction that the new person had come from. There shouldn't be anyone traveling on this mountain alone, right? It was something of a pilgrimage route for summoners and their guardians to take; or at least that's what he'd managed to comprehend thus far.
At least the movement put his back more towards the rocky outcrop so there couldn't be another that could sneak up on them.
"Who are you?" A sharp demand for sure, but given his experiences on others' worlds Sephiroth wasn't taking any chances. He knew he only had to sweep his left hand back a few more inches and he'd have a weapon ready, too.
