Ales kept a firm grip on his forehead as the some of the pain subsided. He didn't dare move quickly in the case that the headache would flare up again. It took some convincing from his body that he wasn't at risk of dying to finally open his eyes.
The light stung the back of his eyes, but removing his hands did not make it impossible to move. His head still hurt, yes, but Meredy had preventing him from being completely incapacitated. Ales rolled onto his front and crawled towards the healer.
"Watch out for that thing," he muttered as he pushed himself up and adjusted his weapon. The battle scene swirled in front of his eyes. "Something's going on with that fellow. The information I received was all in red, and that can't mean anything good."
