[Flynn felt like a total ass for leaving things like they did when he had last encountered Lust. It wasn't her fault she couldn't understand his feelings. It was unrealistic of him to expect her to change and then have her think that he thought any less of her. So he goes out trying to find her.]

[Flynn awaited at the usual spot, glad to finally have some semblance of a routine he could count on.]

Hey there, Selphie. You ready?

That was a face that Selphie hasn't seen in recent weeks and she lights up at the sight of him. There was a mix of anger and happiness inside of the perky brunette as she walks up next to him. She straps the sword around her waist and the buckler is put down on the ground.

She smiled brightly at the knight before moving in for a hug.]

Flynn! You're back!

Yeah, sorry if I caused you any worry.

[He rubs the back of his head before embracing her.]

How've you been, Selphie?

[Selphie looked up Flynn with a pout.]

You did worry me. And a lot happened while you were gone.

Me? I'm hanging in there. You're looking better too.

[She saw how you were behaving after those murders.]

How about some sword training? Let's see if you've improved any.

[Selphie looks at Flynn curiously but there's a challenge in her eyes. Flynn might be surprised that his pupil has learned a few tricks in his absence.]

Sure. [She smiles warmly.] Where do you wanna go? The plains outside of town or the training school?

Unless they've already been claimed by the Calamity, anywhere sounds good.

[He was half joking. Maybe.]

So, what went on?

Well... we're not evacuating Aqures Ixen so I think we're okay for now.

[Even if Flynn was half-joking, Selphie isn't kidding around right now. She knelt down and strapped her buckler onto her left arm and starts wandering toward the town exit.]

Come bash some monsters with me and I'll tell you about what happened and show you the new trick I learned after it was all over.

[Selphie looks back over her shoulder and beams at Flynn. She's happy enough to see her friend that she'll even let that short joke slide.]
