Mana is the energy infused in all things, whether in humans, animals, the earth, buildings, and manipulating it is what grants the use of seraphic artes - or magic. We seraphim are beings infused with mana, much like humans are made of matter. If all of our mana is expended, then we simply cease to be, much like if you take the lifeblood away from a human.
