Given how harsh Mary had been with Sephiroth at the time of the outburst, she wasn't sure if Vincent would allow her to see him, or if Sephiroth would want to see her at all. She frowned at Vincent's admonishment but it wasn't like she wasn't expecting it either.
"Aye. I'm afraid I made some assumptions about the man, but afterwards I'd come to suspect something like that. I don't know his experience, or yours. I just pegged him as the distant and stoic sort." She sighed and shook her head, "But I've known military men. And I thought I knew him better than I did, clearly."
