The shrine’s entrance is well marked, even if those signs have been overgrown at this point. Nature has begun to reclaim the path but there are signs that a few well meaning people have tried to clean it from time to time. Stones, both statues and pathway slate lead the way to the treeline where a torii gate seems to hold the forest apart. Stone stairs climb the hill behind it, gates standing vigil over different landings. It is said that if one looks through the gates one can see the spirits that occupy these grounds.
