Intro Log || Just in Time for the Last Holiday Season

Characters: All the "Heroes of Light" (only new characters can start threads).
Where: Aqures Ixen.
When: November 01st - November 30th. New characters may wake up any time.

Summary: The new Heroes of Light awaken from Crystal Stasis and might find themselves in quite the predicament. Are they in Aqures Ixen, the Desert, a Forest or a completely empty plain? The choice is yours! You can have your character wake up anywhere, so long as the location is neither crystallized nor sealed away (such as the Temple of the Heroes of Light).

Please refer to the Information Post for more information regarding the state of Crystallis. Fear not however as soon a Moogle and maybe your friends shall come to you. Indeed, Heroes of Light in Aqures Ixen have access to a map that show them whenever a new Hero of Light appears.The Moogles are using it to quickly find any newcomers, but nothing prevents other Heroes of Light from using it to go to the rescue! The exception to this are characters who were formerly in the game: they will wake up from Crystal Stasis in the Hospital of Aqures Ixen.

Furthermore, feel free to plot out with players already in-game if you want for them to come and search your character, find them and plot their escape from a particularly dangerous place and the likes!

Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Within an instant, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you knew it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, your world vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see. Even you feel different: all the powers you might once have had, are now gone. It is silent, cold and it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you.

At this moment, when it looks as though nothing but a never-ending void awaits you, a red Crystal forms before you. In this void, its warmth compels you to grab it. But soon it faded, and everything else along with it, nothing but darkness remaining....


The Search for the Heroes
— Anytime —
To you, it's like only a second passed ever since you grabbed this crystal. But months or even years may have passed in the real world. And as you emerge, you find yourself in the world of Crystallis, a place where magic and technology coexist, filled with friendly people... And not so friendly ones. Have you awakened in Aqures Ixen, Esdham or a similar city...? Then it's perfect, you are surrounded by friendly people who will be - very confused - but helpful to an extent.

Have you woken up in the wilderness? Hopefully there aren't too many monsters around! As it is, other Heroes of Light might have woken up close to your position, it might be a good idea to work together with them.

Thankfully enough, before long a fluffy ball of fur flies toward (and most crashes into) you! This creature is a Moogle, sent from Mognet Central to assist you and take you to Aqures Ixen. It will explain you everything about the situation, the other Heroes of Light already present in Crystallis and all that is happening! This Moogle will be your guide back to Aqures Ixen-- If you decide to follow them anyway...


The Voyage Home
— Anytime —
The journey to Aqures Ixen might be an eventful one (or uneventful one if you awoke in the city already). It is a possibility for you to explore the world by taking your time, or to be lazy and board an Airship in the closest city. Don't lose your way or you risk venturing close to the Calamity-- You wouldn't want to be devoured and ripped apart my mega-powered Calamity Monsters, would you?

And thanks to the map and the efficiency of Mognet, odds are you'll encounter other Heroes of Light on your way: those who arrived in this world within the past two years. You may have imagined heroic and charismatic figures when your Moogle told you that there were other Heroes of Light in this city. You may have imagined persons with fearsome powers when they told you about how they managed to push back the Empire and defeat the fearsome Palitutu! And more importantly, you may have imagined them as people who would have all the answers to your, doubtlessly, numerous questions.

If so, you may be up for a tragic disappointment. Still, for the most part they know more than you on the situation and may be more than happy to fill you in, especially if your Moogle didn't tell you much.


The City of Aqures Ixen
— Anytime —
Finally, you might reach Aqures Ixen... And it turns out to be a very busy city. You might visit it, or the laboratory from where you can spy track where Heroes of Light are. Indeed, Palitutu's Laboratory (and its underground section) is a place where employed characters can research various topics. Most importantly, characters can see a file with their name...

Should your character decide to go there and peek at their file, there are two possibilities. Either the file is corrupted and they cannot access it: too bad for them, but at least their life will remain a mystery. Or should you decide the file isn't corrupted, they will find a summary of their lives up to their canon point, as if written by a third-person omniscient narrator. On the column left to the text, to the top there is a portrait of them, and beneath it there is a 3D model of them. Said portrait and model can be switched to any year of their life. At the bottom there is a percentage, indicating 0%. On the right column, there are various links, most of which are grayed out. The clickable links lead to their Homeworld History and their future post-canon point history (corrupted file for unfinished canons). At least, they can lock this file away if they don't want anyone to see it.

Or maybe you could visit your new house in the 11th or 14th District, and get to know your new neighbors and housemate(s). Hopefully your neighbors are people you will get along with.


It's Never Too Early
— Anytime —
No matter where you wake up in this world, from the arid climate of Esdham to the balmy jungles of Mysidia, you might notice a hint of ~**Christmas Whimsy**~ in the air. Pine-scented garlands are wound about streetlamps, delicate glass ornaments and twinkling lights have begun to adorn tree branches. The air is rich with the smell of baked pumpkin and cinnamon, and the occasional cool hint of peppermint. The bakeries are filled with seasonal treats like kupo nut pies, cranberry tarts, eggnog cakes. Though it's only the month of November, anyone complaining about the good cheer and pretty decorations will be stared at with a mixture of shock and pity, for clearly these people do not understand the true magic of the season.

Wherever you go, there's a distinct and rhythmic clanging of a small brass bell. Following the sound of the bell inevitably leads to a small adorable Moogle decked out in a fur-trimmed red suit standing next to a donations pot, with another clad in green passing out fliers inviting people to visit the Santa Village. They're requesting gil to craft toys for the refugees living there as well as the children across the world, and to expand and improve the Village as well.

Upon seeing any indication that you might be a Hero of Light, both Moogles make a happy sound and immediately press a flyer into your hand, insisting that you must visit, and not so subtly hinting that those who take up the Santa Claus job would be warmly welcomed by everyone. 'Tis the season, eh? Eh?


The Hospital
— Anytime —
Characters who have already been in Crystallis before do not wake up anywhere like everyone else. Instead, they will wake up in the Hospital of Aqures Ixen, in a room where there are over a hundred other Heroes of Light like them-- Maybe even some familiar faces... Except they're all in Crystal Stasis.

A couple Moogles and a few nurses will be waiting by the room, and they will welcome all characters waking up. Upon exiting the room, they will also meet a lot of guards, and they all have orders to shoot anyone that comes out of this room without a Moogle. Hopefully you won't try running out without waiting for your Moogle. As for why the guards are so on edge, it might be a good idea to ask the other Heroes of Light about what happened last year.

[Comes the instantaneous response to mention of him needing the furball. There's a sigh as he folds his arms over his chest, a hard stare instantly getting directed at the much taller stranger.

Plena is quick to greet his fellow moogle, presenting him with a kupo nut offering of friendship.]

And why would I want something that's just gonna slow me down? I don't need other people to do what I've gotta do to get off of this stupid world. [Golden eyes are averted as he asks the next question.] ...How long have you been here, anyway?

[It hasn't been all that long since he was- created, but in the time since his existence came to be, he's had the opportunity to learn quite a few things. Ignorance would have made him less useful, naturally; what else was there to do whenever he wasn't training and getting stronger?

If he were the type to laugh, he might be laughing right this second. The stranger's reasoning is almost enough to take him by surprise, because... seriously?] That's the dumbest reasoning I've ever heard. Just because you're nicer, doesn't make you better or more suitable for ownership. Kind of like how being a good person doesn't make you stronger.

[It's all spoken in a matter-of-fact manner, as though it's knowledge than anyone should have. Okay, being all-but-ignored isn't going to fly with him; the guy's sitting down instead of so much as responding to his threat. He's taking a step towards the brunette, clearly ready to test out his newly gained skills, up until... ah. The scar earns the quirk of a brow. While he doesn't look concerned over it, there's a ghost of curiosity.] How does that make me too late, huh? Not like anyone can even see that with all the hair in the way...

[Ugh, they even have annoyingly similar hairstyles... Maybe he should take some scissors to this... Sora's hair whenever he's sleeping.] ...

[He's tightly folding both arms over his chest as he looks to the side. Why should he tell this guy his na-] He's Vanitas, kupo! And I'm Plena. It's very nice to meet you, Sora! I hope my-... Hero doesn't give you too much trouble. [The next sentence is said almost in a whisper.] I don't think he's as bad as he seems.

[An annoyed growl slips from his throat as he looks over to see the fuzzball flying over to shake Sora's hand.] Keep that up, and you'll be turned into dinner.

[Plena sighs, but doesn't seem to fully believe Vanitas would try to cook him...]

[Happily ever after doesn't exist for Sora. Other people may have been able to find it but Sora's still searching for his. All he can do is believe that everyone is living elsewhere happily enough. That Kairi, Nami, Neku and the others are still on that one world together, that Xion and others are okay after crashing planetside, that Axelea, Roxas and Riku all found themselves on another world. He clings to that hope.

Without really deciding he reaches in for the closest baked good and starts to munch on it. Sora offers Ira a small smile.]

Well, I never was good at turning down ice cream. [Though he does have to think about the first part of that.] I can't really remember, probably not too long ago.

[Riku had pushed food in front of him even though Sora had been out of it for days. Kairi being dead had sort of put him in a zombie-like state - merely went through the motions of his everyday life until she came back.]

Ina found us on our way to the city and filled us in on the journey. There should totally be a pamphlet for all that information, by the way. I guess what I want to know most is... what exactly I could be doing to help? I get the general idea of it all but is there a plan? Is there a plan for a plan? Is everyone just running around doing separate things?

[He slumps down in the chair, lifting one foot so that it's pressed against his chest while his heel digs into the seat.] Is not. I don't want people thinking I'm not nice because you're running around being mean.

[Then Sora lifts his other foot and pushes childishly at the couch Vanitas is on, it moves a little bit.] And I never said I was a good person - just that I was nicer.

[As for the part about being stronger, he doesn't comment on that. In all this time he's realized just how weak he really is... Besides, it isn't as if he has his usual powers so Sora is pretty much a beginner in this world. He may have experience wielding magic but that's about it.]

Just saying it's too late to make us look different by using a knife - someone else beat you to it. Besides, you've got the whole... "gold eyes" going on so it's not like we look completely identical.

[He doesn't say what he really wanted which was "Xehanort eyes", not until he knows more about this person.

Excuse you, he will put his dresser in front of his door if you're gonna act like that.

Sora does look up when the Moogle starts talking instead and smiles reassuringly at the little creature.] Nice to meet you, Plena. And don't worry about it, I'm not afraid of him.

[When Plena zooms over to shake his hand, he doesn't hesitate to take that offer. Though he playfully rolls his eyes at Vanitas' comment.]

[It's enough to earn a deadpan stare.] Not that it matters what you think, but I was already planning to walk away.

[He turns to do just that now, in fact -- Plena is suddenly right in his face, a firm expression on the fuzzball's face.] Don't you have questions you wanted answered?

[He practically bristles... but guess the stupid thing has a point. Maybe. He has half a mind to swat the fuzzball out of the way, anyway. But... siiiigh.] ...How long have you been here?

I don't think any version of you I've met has.

[Despite this, he's still smirking as he picks a slice of Japanese-style cheesecake. ...He may have gotten a favorite after his birthday this year.]

Two others, Jade and Rukia... They sent out something like that last month. I think they mentioned something about trying to keep it up-to-date and resending them every time you new guys show up.

[Meaning yes, he has been here a while - long enough to probably get away with saying that. Still, all signs that he is kidding around soon drop with the volume of his voice.]

The pieces are slowly forming together. Those with the Scholar job are working on deciphering the secret reports Palitutu, the one who started this cycle, left before she fell comatose. For now, what most are working on is making sure the places where the refugees are currently flooding to are secure from the Calamity Monsters that are starting to infest the areas Narayana has infected, doing their own thing, or are earning gil to help fund their research.

Though before I say more... Ina, did you tell Sora about the Calamity selves?

[It's uh...

...well, he's had worse. Considerably worse, in fact. But it's still... really strange, considering he assumed these things are supposed to be-... Well, he'd always imagined them being slightly sweet? Not... this. This is possibly the strangest taste he's ever encountered, even if it's not enough to have him gagging.

It's right around the time he's finishing the first cookie, though, does he find himself feeling about as weird as the thing had tasted. There's a moment where his skin gains a twinge of some color that's between chalky white and green. He has just enough time to give the young woman who just walked up a confused frown.]

...Wh-...

[And then he's outright slumping to the ground, which has Plena's little eyes widening in surprise. Vanitas is down for the count.] O-... oh dear, kupo. I did tell him I had a bad feeling, but I didn't imagine it would go quite like that...

They should just tell it to us straight so we can get it sorted out properly before it gets worse. [A single nod of her head.]

A lot of us have tried that, but they don't care.

[It's a boy. She is housed with a man! This is unpleasant! No. No, he could be a perfectly nice man who isn't a pervert like some boys she knows.]

Thank you. [Mirai steps further into the house and shuts the door behind her.

In response to his little head bow, she gives him a deeper one.] My name is Kuriyama Mirai. It's nice to be here.

[Now that she's closer, she can see he is looking at a bunch of food things.] Are you making something to eat?

[He grumbles, lifting his own foot to push at the seat Sora's sitting in, returning the favor.] Yeah, right... You definitely seem like one of those do-good types. I'm sure a certain naive idiot and his group of wannabe heroes would have gladly welcomed you with open arms.

[He snorts somewhat mockingly, even if his eyes might be telling a different story. He's still... not sure how to feel about this guy. He does hate him, but at the same time...] Well, you were the one making a big deal about me having "your" face. I just though I'd do you a favor.

[He possibly puts the "dark" in "dark humor."

Augh, Plena is clearly eating up the positive vibes from Sora. He's visibly more relaxed than he's ever been. He actually laughs at his Hero's face twin for the playful gesture, tiny red ball vibrating with the force of each laugh. Vanitas, on the other hand, is narrowing his eyes at the roll of the brunette's eyes, and that chair? Yeah, it's getting an outright kick.]

Stop talking about me like I'm not even in the room!

[dammit_flynn]

I'm sure the kids would love to have someone as enthusiastic as you.

[ He replied with a laugh when the boy replied earnestly. He hadn't know the kid for more than a minute but he couldn't say that there's anything to be suspicious about him. He seemed rather quick witted and big do-gooder. Of course, he doesn't say any of that aloud since it might sound rude on his end. Yuri isn't out to make enemies of people he actually finds some interest in. They might be proven important later down the line. ]

Sounds about right. Santa's gotta be a cheerful and happy guy right?

[ The swordsman added with grin on his face still. ]

That's quite the travels you've had. I'd be surprised to hear it if I didn't already experience world hopping in Crystallis. It must be rough on ya, but welcome to Crystallis anyway. I'm Yuri, Yuri Lowell.

Repede doesn't find any threat in her so he sort of turns back to Yuri while switching the position of his pipe. Yes, the dog has a pipe in his mouth. She doesn't have to mind it too much but please don't take it from him. It will result in backlash, Yuri gives her a raised brow when she suddenly starts lashing out on him. He didn't expect that but again he was teasing her so it shouldn't have been a surprise to him. Somehow that meek girl is nowhere to be seen at the moment.

Honestly, he can't help but find the whole situation kind of silly. The girl is probably no more than five feet and she's looking at him so intensely with her loud voice. Well, definitely can't judge a book by its cover.

"Oh, you know what that means? Well, you certainly gave off that feeling. My bad."

Of course, it's not really his bad. He's only being a jerk because he can.

"Jokes aside, you're not hurt right? Don't worry, Repede's pretty well behaved. He likes kids."

He might have accidentally struck another nerve.

[ Yuri doesn't stop from standing in front of the individual. Honestly, he can sense their tense selves, but there isn't time for this kind of lynching or whatever it is they're trying to do to the girl. She doesn't look like a zombie nor does she act like one. ]

You know, if you keep treating us Heroes of Light like this, you'll only get nothing out of it. The lady looks pretty sane to me. I'm pretty sure she's not a zombie or whatever it is you're thinking she is. Plus, Acrisius can confirm that she's someone we know right?

[ The moogle shoots Yuri a look before sighing. ]

Indeed. Her moogle is waiting outside for us. We were asked specifically to pick her up in the meantime, Kupo.

[ Yuri gives her an almost sympathetic look. ]

It's been chaotic. I'm not sure how long you've been out but things changed pretty quickly around here. I can fill you in later if you'd like and no need for thanks.

[ He gives her a reassuring smile. If all else fails, he's going to make her run for it with him. ]

You've been here for a few hours at most. You don't know how this place runs, kid. Trust me when I say these guys are useful.

[ He tapped his moogle on the head briefly as a gesture of affection. Acrisius on the other hand, accepts the kupo nut rather politely and bows to the other as he starts small talk with the new moogle. ]

For the record, you'd be the one that'd slow us down. If you're plenty new then your job classes need experience. You'll need armor and weapons that are infused with buffs. As you are right now, you're more likely to be eaten than everyone here if you catch my drift.

[ He replied putting a hand on his hip. ]

Almost two years kid and no one is getting out of here without saving this world. You can't go home without doing the deed you need to do here but of course not everyone agrees with that method. Some of us would rather do things in their own ways but never alone.

He's good at reading people so it doesn't bother him in the least when he doesn't hear her speak. Rather instead of hearing her speak, he watches her from time to time as she executes her tasks. Of course, his joke was a joke and he can tell she was quite the hard worker. Definitely a different kind of princess thatn the ones he's seen. Even Estelle was in her own category. It's a shame that he never got a chance to talk with her before she went straight into the Crystal Stasis. Ever since then, she's never really woken up from it and Yuri just moved on.

There was nothing he could do for her and Raven at this point. All he can dois save this place and then go back home where they'll all be okay.

At least, that's the goal for him. He only laughed to himself when he saw the letter reach to her hands. Acrisius made his way back to him and the two of them worked hard to ration out things for peopl for a while longer. He is minding his own business until he hears the bow and he stops what he's doing and ushers the npc helpers to leave with the people as quickly as they can to a safer direction. He told them to go where Natalia was leading them. Yuri of course shifts to grab his sword and with the dog and moogle at his side he was about to make his own move until Natalia came at him and pointed.

Oh, so this is definitely Natalia. He's somewhat staring at her for a moment raising a brow.

"The name's Yuri if you didn't bother to read the signature at the bottom, Princess."

He replied giving her a bit of a laugh before following after her. He knows what they'll be doing so he's not going to fight it. After all words can be exchanged once the crisis is over.

[A small laugh at that. He doesn't really know what he's eating - just that it's good. Link would probably know exactly what this pastry was.

Those two names have his eyes flicking up at Ira's face like the other boy can tell him exactly who those people are... though chances are they aren't the versions he knows.]

Hope they send it out soon, I'm a lot better at keeping up with things I can read at my own pace. Plus then Ina doesn't have to keep talking non-stop.

[There is no surprise at learning that Ira has been here a while, time was always weird when it came to this kind of worlds. When Ira's voice goes quieter Sora leans in a little bit to hear better.]

Right well, I've got a healing spell up my sleeve that I can use if those refugees are hurt or I know some medical treatments. I have to get stronger though because all I've got is low-level magic. Don't suppose you know anyway to do that faster than just going out to fight monsters all day long?

[Ina shakes her head.] I hadn't gotten to that yet, kupo!

I'll be sure to tell them all about how I saved Santa so that he could deliver his presents!

[Oh he's definitely a suspicious kid, the most suspicious of them all. Clearly Yuri needs to keep an eye on him at all times. No actually he is a good kid - definitely someone who wants to help out wherever he can and obviously enjoys this holiday called Christmas. And Yuri can be as rude as he wants, Sora can handle it.]

He's the jolliest guy around! Gotta get myself some pillows to stuff in my coat for his big belly too!

[Pats his stomach which is most definitely a little on the skinny side. Then both hands link behind his head as he shifts all his weight onto one leg, tucking the other back.]

What can I say? I went to the first world and found it so exciting that I didn't want to stop! [Sometimes he didn't have a choice in the matter but that's besides the point.] Eh, it's not as rough as it is for others, I'm pretty used to it. Usually by the time I get to a new world I'm just in time to save it from destruction and always fighting monsters.

[He grins.] Nice to meetcha, Yuri. I'm Sora.

[He kicks himself for doing so.]

Going out and fighting monsters isn't as effective, except maybe in the Monster Arena. Haven't gone myself. [SHRUG.] What you'd want to do is to find friendly monsters in the wild, and that's getting harder to do with the Calamity encompassing most of the world, now. Getting involved in the events of this world is the biggest thing, and I know one that'll likely happen very soon.

[He paused for a minute, leaning closer in so it'd be easier for Sora to hear him.]

You know how you have two Jobs, right? Well, that's part of what makes us different from the locals. They only have one for the rest of their lives, and the reason we are different, is because while we were summoned here, a part of us remains within the Rift.

Some call it an Id, others the Shadow, but the more common name in this world is the Calamity Self. This "shade" has existed alongside us, feeding off every repressed aspect... everything we refuse to admit about ourselves, and it has taken over others like us over and over again. Anyone with a Black Crystal could control us like puppets. That's why everyone both admire and fear us, and I can't say I blame them for it, either. Even the planet sees the Calamity Self as a threat, and encases us in crystal until it thinks the threat is passed.

[Ira pauses, knowing it's a lot to take in at once. Of course, he isn't going to just say that and leave it without giving a bit of hope.]

This guy, the Sage - he invited all of us to his place in Mysidia about a month ago, to share the information of what it is and how to face them. If we don't, then we run the risk of that Self taking over at the worst time. Lin tells me the other moogles at Palitutu's lab will likely have it figured out in a matter of days.

[They are so mature. Sora retaliates back by once again pushing the couch. He says nothing about a 'certain naive idiot and company'.] I try to do good but I'm not always successful. Besides the world is more than just good and bad - light and dark. There's a whole lot more to it than that.

[That is something he's learned since arriving in the Facility. Just because their worlds seem to deal in one extreme or the other doesn't mean it's true.] Yeah well, it's the first time I've actually come across someone who looks as much like me as you do. I'm allowed to make a big deal out of it.

[It's okay, Sora will supply the "light" as much as he possibly can.

Anytime Plena is feeling overwhelmed by his Hero, he's welcome to come spend some time with Sora. He winks at the Moogle even as his chair is getting kicked.]

Hey, we were having a conversation here. [Is what Vanitas gets in return.]

[Natalia smiles, pleased at his cheerful encouragement. Well! He seems to be a delightful young man, and certainly someone better suited to hold the title 'Hero of Light' than some others she could mention.]

I will have to give it some serious thought at a later time. For now, however, I believe the time for tourism is not yet come. There's still a great deal of work to do to save this world, as well as my own. Come along, Sora.

[Which means she doesn't mind at all if he'd like to tag along, and she seems glad for the company given the easy smile on her youthful face.]

Have you been to a castle before? I imagine commoners don't often receive that opportunity.

[ Personal space is a bit overrated when you're a curious Hero. ]

I see so it has a religious meaning somewhere as well.

[ He does seem to be interested more when he said religious and moving on from that. ]

It sounds like a warming celebration. I never knew such a holiday exists.

[ Exchanging gifts and spending time with friends and family does hit pretty close to home. He misses the times he spent with his friends. Having something like this might help bring them closer together. Right now it's just the three of them. Sora does help give him some possible ideas of what to do during that time when it comes around. ]

I heard that story from the Santa Village. I didn't expect it to be something that's quite well--universal for the lack of better words.

[ Don't mind him as he jots down the date in his large notebook for a moment but looks up when he hears the more serious response. ]

I suppose it doesn't have good memories for you to die before something so meaningful. I'm sorry to hear.

[ Death-- he's learned was a fleeting illusion here until recently. ]

[ She seems like she's fine being bundled up. Mikleo is rather used to the temperature, cold or not. It's because he's a Water Seraph and small things liker cold and snow don't really bother him. Mikleo didn't know much about such a holiday so he's intrigued by it and wants to learn more about it. Donations and such things like that seem to be what is part of putting in that Christmas spirit.

"You're Yuri?" she stated, incredulous. She stared back at him over her shoulder, but didn't stop moving for a moment. He was more prompt than she'd realized him to be. A point in his 'good character qualities' column, which was sadly underpopulated, but not enough to let her start thawing quite yet.

"Hmph, you're older than I anticipated you would be. From the way you spoke and the sloppiness of your handwriting, I would have assumed you were eleven at most." She turned her head forward once more with a toss of her short blonde locks.

A little ribbing served him right for his blatant disrespect.

Rounding one of the browning hedges that rimmed the theme park, Natalia caught a flash of movement and immediately pulled back, pressing her shoulders against the wall as she peered around the corner. Bowling over an abandoned popcorn cart, a crystal-studded blob of a creature heaved its massive bulk across the cobbletones. Its thorn-tipped viney appendages flopped and slithered. Natalia's brow knit even further as she dropped her voice to a low murmur.

"An ochu. Have you fought one before?" She raised her bow and sighted the creature down the long shaft of her steel-tipped arrow. "It's best to fight them from a distance, as they can inflict poison and sleep on their victims." Rude, she hadn't even waited for his response before lecturing him on the beast. Drawing back the arrow, the feathered tips just lightly brushing against her cheek, she let it fly.

The head buried itself in a soft spot between the crystalline joints, and it howled in pain as its limbs wriggled and flailed. Natalia was already drawing another arrow and darted forward. It was already moving in their direction, and she had no intention of waiting for it to close the distance between them before taking another shot.

Mikleo isn't the type to have to be asked twice to do something. He's quite aware of his role and if he wanted to fulfill it, he'd rather do it willingly. Of course, saving these people means saving his own world. He would never leave the people of Glenwood to die. He certainly won't make it a thing here in Crystallis. He's fairly firm on that manner.

"Yes I am. What sort of watch do you have in mind?"

He muses as he glances at her for noticing his bow. Mikleo looks at the embarrassingly gaudy looking casino. He doesn't know what it is but it doesn't look appropriate. He watches as sh points to it and watches as the two individuals above seem to be scanning everything carefully.

"I see, so you need me to help shoot down these Buers that are attacking the innocent citizens of this town."

He states nodding to what she's clarified.

"I can do it. We need high ground clear of trees and anything that can obscure our aim."
