Natalia turned her head, surprised to find a volunteer that approached of his own free will. She smiled. How refreshing it was, to have someone she didn't have to scold or browbeat into responsibility! Rising to her feet, she extended her hand politely. "Indeed I do, thank you for your gracious offer. My name is Natalia."
Her gaze shifted just slightly to the side as she took note of the bow that crossed his chest. "You're an archer as well, I see! Excellent, I'd like to assign you to the watch."
The princess turned and pointed to one of the tall casinos, embarrassingly quiet with none of its flashing lights activated. On top of it was a big golden bell and a dimmed sign that announced it would ring every time someone inside won the jackpot. Now it was being rimmed by a small trio of two Tarutarus and one Moogle who were busily scanning the darkness all around the town.
"The creatures they call ochus are dangerous, but we're in the process of setting up spiked barricades around the town that we can light, as fire drives them away. It's the Buers that cause real trouble, as they can fly. As you might imagine, the more archers we have on hand, the better our defenses against a threat that can fly."
