Oh, there should be lots of decorations, like wreaths and mistletoe and tinsel everywhere. A Christmas tree is the most important, of course, with lots of ornaments. The traditional ones are the colored orbs, but anything handmade is wonderful too.

Don't forget all the food, kupo! Everything should smell like nutmeg and cinnamon and gingerbread!
