"You needn't put it quite like that," she chided him, her expression more than a little concerned. It reminded her far too much of Luke, saying that he didn't matter, and she couldn't imagine there wasn't a person in the world who didn't care for him. Or was he only teasing her?

Regardless, they were at the inn now, and she heaved a little sigh of relief. Now that they were safe, she assumed he could place her on the ground, and her legs stirred to accommodate him in putting her down.
