Lydia only shifted--keeping her hold around Ira's waist--so others could hug him too. Also so she could keep an eye on the shadow!Ira. Quiet, and listening, then hugging him more tightly at the final words. "He---you---We won't stop being friends, just because you're accepted your shadow." Moving to hide her head against his shoulder. "That's what he meant by immune soul, at least...I think it is."
